The pool consultation and installation went well no complaints in that aspect. The issue I have with Inground Pool Design is the concrete contractor, Sizemore Concrete Designs, LLC. This is where our experience goes south. On 7 Oct 2022, I sent a message to Sizemore Concrete notifying them of the abnormally large crack in my pool deck. The pool was completed 15 Sept 2021 and backfilled with dirt, waiting for the ground to settle so the pool deck could be poured. The pool deck was poured 5-months later, 11 Feb 2022, less than eight months later I had a crack. A crack that is beyond the normal curing cracks that come with concrete that has cured for years. I contacted Sizemore as previously mentioned on 7 Oct 2022 about this. See the photos of the text correspondence showing the contact attempts and delayed responses. Although, Sizemore Concrete claimed to come out and look at the pool deck, there is no indication or proof that Donald came out, nothing ever showed up on my security cameras, nor was I contacted about his "initial visit." Either way, they were supposed to contact the pool company about why the concrete is cracking, why? Concrete is their business, why would he need to contact the pool installer. See the photos of Sizemore's site prep, notice the inappropriate spacing of the rebar throughout the site. Notice the absence of highchairs to hold the rebar in place while they pour the concrete. You can see where the forms were installed and the only piece of rebar that is in that section of the large crack is near the outer edge of the form. Also, notice that the workers are using their feet to raise the rebar and a float tool, only for it to fall back down with the weight or pressure from the concrete or them stepping on it as they go. Why wasn't wire mesh used to ensure secure bonding and highchairs to ensure that the rebar stayed at an appropriate level inside the pour? I continued to try and get this fixed with no resolution. I contacted the BBB in attempt to get this fixed, was a waste of time. The representative at the BBB said they left the company a voicemail and final email requesting their response by 30 October 2023. The also asked if I contacted the company, if not, recommend that I reach out to them directly. I tried that with no satisfactory resolution or response, that's why I contacted the BBB. However, I would not recommend using Sizemore Concrete Designs, LLC when it comes to pouring your pool deck or any other concrete work for that matter. I have tried to locate the business license with the Georgia Secretary of State and discovered that they are not listed as a licensed contractor in the state of Georgia. If they are licensed, it is not listed by Sizemore Concrete Designs, LLC. read more
