I would avoid Sixt like the plague. I rented a van here Spring 2017. The agent offered me the LDW Insurance. He told me it would cover "all loss and damage." I bought it, and was glad I did when we got a rock chip. When I got home, Sixt e-mailed me and told me that LDW didn't cover windows or tires. Apparently, the agent forgot to tell me that "all loss and damage" meant everything except windows and tires. He also forgot to tell me that I could cover windows and tires for another 10 euros per day - which obviously I would have done.
Now they've threatened to sue me if I don't pay 500 euros for a new windshield. Even though it only sustained a small chip that could be repaired with polymer fill. I can't fly to France and defend myself, and I am not willing to let them rack up legal fees suing me there, then domesticating the judgment in the US. So I have to pay, but I'll be posting this review everywhere I can to help others avoid Sixt - do NOT rent from them. You will regret it. read more
