Unfortunately I have a dispute with a damage claim with SIXT. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT SIGN THE AGREEMENT AT THE END OF THE RENTAL PERIOD. I was told that even if I signed the document, I would have a chance to dispute the claim. THAT IS UNTRUE! Once you sign the closing document, you are required to pay.
Also the trunk lid of the car I rented did not open after the first day. When I called SIXT they told me I would have to drive hours out of my way to pick up a different car. They made no effort to fix the problem or to get me another car. That never would have happened in the United States. We had to get our luggage out the passenger seat the entire trip and it was not very easy. Consequently I had to park backwards to get the luggage out. When I did, I nicked the bumper. Even though I told them what had happened they did not reduce any of the claim or compensate me for not renting me a fully functioning vehicle. They also said there was additional damage on the wheel, which I did not do. But because I signed the document, I am required to pay for it.
DON'T SIGN THE DOCUMENT -- TALK TO A SUPERVISOR.
I have tried over and over to resolve these problems and have been unsuccessful.
