While our son only attended the school for a total of 8 hours, it has been nothing but less than favorable interactions from the initial drop off. When my husband and I arrived to drop our son off, the assistant director was on what sounded like a personal telephone call discussing another parent complaining about her. After waiting there for 5 minutes, she got off the phone, and did not know who we were or why we were there. We explained it was our son's first day and we were there to drop off. She walked us to our son's classroom where we met his teacher. Walking into the room, there was a single teacher getting bottles ready while 5 infants sat on the other side of the gate area, several of which were whining/crying. Most of the lights were off and the room is crowded and dark. The teacher said hello to me and my husband and asked me about our son's feeding/sleeping routine. We asked if we could help set him up in the room, which they allowed. At no point during this interaction did anyone say hello or welcome our son. We ultimately left him in the room playing with toys while the teacher continued to get the other children their food. Not once did we see her, or anyone, acknowledge our son before leaving. It was so discomforting that both my husband and I considered walking back into the room and taking our son home right then. I reported this to the director that morning around 10:00am. She apologized for the experience, explained it was an off morning and that she would talk with the assistant director as well as the teacher. When we picked up our son at 11:30am, he was exhausted, and had clearly been crying a lot. Upon our son's return to school, the second drop off was better. The following week, our son attended his third and final day at school. When I returned to pick up my son, the school director, Michelle, was also in the room and the teacher was holding my son sleeping. They informed me that my son had hurt himself while crawling, resulting in a bloody lip and scratched nose. On my car ride home, I called the school and asked to speak with Michelle director about what had occurred so that I could understand better. Beth, the assistant director, explained that Michelle was on a tour so I asked that she give me a call back after the tour. After two days and five telephone calls/voicemails, I finally was able to get in touch with the school director. At no point did anyone return my phone call or call to see why my son was absent after an incident at the school. The incident itself was not an issue, as I know babies will get hurt as they learn to crawl and walk but it was how the school handled things following the incident that was the problem. Sunbrook Academy advertises itself as a safe and nurturing place for your baby to receive loving care and learning experiences. The Infant Care Program is committed to making the first transition away from home natural and easy for both child and parent. Our experience was anything but that. After several weeks of back and forth with the regional director or Cadence, I was finally able to review the video of the incident involving my son. It was as described but the whole ordeal left me very disappointed in the school and how they care for children. I unfortunately have heard more horror stories about this school over the last few weeks and had I known any of this prior to enrolling our son, I would never have let him attend this school.

When you walk in, a full wall of screens showcase the cameras and classrooms for transparency. The teachers had a long track record and tenure and have been really sweet to our 2 and 4 year old. Fun, there is a splash pad, playground and activities. Some locations we visited were in need of repair or dirty, but Creme is clean and well maintained. Our prior daycare drop off experience was very hectic and loud. The Creme experience has been calm, nice music like you entered Saks and smooth handoff with teachers. We have been customers for 4 weeks and the switch was super smooth with both kids saying they like Creme more and never complaining. Bonus, they allow you to pay with credit cards with no extra fee to get those hotel points.

The leadership team is sweet and caring and knows all of the kiddos. I always felt like the communication was open. I liked the small size of the infant rooms and the teachers were amazing. Plus both of them had been there for a while. My son was in the older infant class for only a short time before we moved so I don't have as much experience with them. I will say there were 2 constant teachers in that class and the the other ones seemed to switch out too often for my comfort. My first impression was that the school was warm, safe, and had it's act together. Every staff member and teacher I met was kind and professional, and everyone seemed genuine. Seems to be very little turnover as well, and people have been working there for a really long time. I really thought my twins would have a terrible time transition once they started, because they had pretty severe separation anxiety. However, they literally stopped crying at drop off after just 1 week of attendance, and I saw them smiling and having fun in the pictures sent by the school within the first few weeks. They even would cry about having to leave school when I went to pick them up to go home, and my super shy and suspicious kids were hugging the teachers goodbye within just a couple of weeks. This really speaks volumes to how the teachers and staff really know what they are doing, are engaging and building a relationship with the kids, and that my kids feel safe and are having fun. We've been attending for 4 months now, and my kids love going to school, love their teachers, and I can tell they're learning and getting stimulated everyday. My first impressions of the school and staff are all still the same even after all these months. They also cook their meals onsite, and the snacks and meals are generally healthy: the only better alternative I've seen are Korean daycares. Compared to the other American daycares - big or small - this school's menu has been the healthiest I've seen. There were very minor things I've had to call or talk to the school about, but with anything I've brought up they were super receptive and responsive. When my little one was one year old and my mother had to return to our homeland, I had to put her in a daycare since I work full time. We chose a very reputable place in Johns Creek. They had camera and it was awful see her crying all day, not eating, drinking and looking so desperate. It was a big transition for her but the way it was handled was not OK with me. They would work as a factory, changing diapers very fast, feeding them as robots and barely interacting with the toddlers... Obviously my daughter cried all day long... I even saw a lady shushing her,  and when I would come to pick her up, they would make jokes about her being needy. My daughter is pretty independent, but she also is very loved, and they didn't help much with the transition. I also started looking at other children there and I was devastated noticing how their eyes were glossy and their spirits broken.  I truly believe that at a very young age it is so important for children  to feel loved and protected. I started looking at reviews and saw Miss Claire's house online. I read that a mother went through the same experience I had with my child. I called Claire and we scheduled an interview. It was the best thing I've done for my daughter and for myself! I visited the daycare and met with Miss Linda and Miss Claire. The first thing I noticed were the happy and shiny eyes the children had! They were comfortable there! They were hugged, loved and just children!  When Miss Claire called to inform that we got the space, I was very relieved and hopeful! Her first day she cried a little but the second day, she was already climbing up the stairs by herself and hugging Miss Claire! No more tears, just like that! She is happy when we pick her up every day and has made great friends! Going from John's Creek to Roswell for daycare added one extra hour to my daily commute, which I gladly drove because knowing my baby was happy all day gave me peace of mind at work.  Besides offering a loving, safe and caring environment, Miss Claire and Linda have a lot of activities for the children! Arts, outdoor play, celebrating holidays and during the summer there are splash pads, a little pool and popsicles!
