I went online to determine the size of my garden area and Soil Supply gave me a price for the compost that included delivery. 10 days later, I had it delivered. This was a good time for me as I would be out of town. Delivery was early in the morning (before 8 a.m.) in my driveway, where I laid a tarp. It it still there, a week later as I am still preparing the garden area. When I am outside, t's pretty stinky but that is to be expected. The compost is good quality, except there are some lumps that I break up by hand. When you need a large bit of compost, gravel, mulch, (see photos) and such visit Soil Supply to have it delivered. Get a wheelbarrow if you don't have one to transport the dirt to the back of the house. When visiting, look for the office seen in my photo as there is another driveway that you don't want to enter. It is all the way down the dirt road. When you see the mounds, enter through the gates and the office is in front of you.

Sales manager Lisa called the day they were supposed to begin and said they would not be out until…read morethe next day. The builder (Dave) shows up the next day and it had rained the night before so my wife tells him that he cannot back his trailer onto the grass because we don't want tire ruts in the grass we're trying to establish. The guys sits in the driveway right under the security camera which also has voice recording complaining and dropping F bombs about not being able to back up to the fence gate. After about 3.5 hours of carrying wood and tools to the back yard and taking a ridiculous amount of smoke breaks, he leaves and doesn't come back. My wife calls the office to see if he just went to lunch and will be coming back or not. She doesn't hear back from them and calls back after a couple of hours. They tell her that they can't get ahold of him. Fast forward to day 3 of what was supposed to be a 2 day build of an 8x12 shed, the guy has only worked 3-5 hours a day. I understand that it's summer in NC but maybe send second person to help him. Anyway, he leaves on day 3 after about 3 hours and leaves everything out, no roof on the shed and it's supposed to rain that night. I call and talk to Emily. She says she only answers the phone but will pass it on when everyone gets back from lunch and someone would call me back. She calls right back and asks if I want them to send someone out to put a tarp up to protect the untreated lumber inside the shed. I say yes and about 30 minutes later, two guys show up and put a tarp on and put everything inside the shed. Nobody else called back to address my concerns about why it's taking so long. On day 4, I drive to the Gastonia office where I purchased the shed and tell Cory that I'm not happy about being ignored. He calls Lisa and says that I'm in his office to inquire why nobody called me back the previous day to address my complaints. The only thing I get is "he'll be finished today, and at this point, what do I want her to do for me?" I say I think I deserve some sort of rebate or discount. She offers me $100 off. SERIOUSLY? They start a day late, take over twice as long as it should have taken and she expects $100 off of a $3,700 shed is going to make things right? Maybe if they had done something with the guys attitude the first day when we complained about it which continued on security camera for more than the first day, then I would be a little more empathetic about him working by himself and taking longer. I get home from my unproductive trip to their office and the builder is sitting in his truck. He tells me all that he still has to do and that he would be back the next day to finish if that's ok. He doesn't work for me so I tell him to do what he has to do. So now they're going to spend 5 days building this shed. I would absolutely NEVER recommend this company. They don't care about their customers or their employees. You cannot treat your customers this way and you cannot expect your senior employees (63 years old from what he told me) to work by themselves in this type of heat and get things done on schedule.

They can repot your plant for you, if you bring your own you pay a small fee but it's "free" if you buy a pot from there. Some of the pots (like my own) are pricey however I trusted them more than myself to replant my growing baby. I've taken their DIY Terrarium classes and it's fun. It's a very "this is what it is and where things are have fun" type of vibe. Everything is broken down cost wise on how much each container is and what you can put in them. They have an event calendar to show their classes or themed nights they do every month. The make the terrariums, candles, bonsai layouts, kokedama (moss balls), moss walls, and floral hoops. They're fun, they're interactive, and great for medium-"large" sized groups. It's always nice to have somewhere to go and do something different that you can take home. The staff is always helpful when I need it giving good recommendations, education, and answering my 1042 questions. I stopped in looking for red mulch since google said this was a gardening store. It's actually a…read moresmall, quaint store inside a brick exterior building. I was surprised at the variety of items offered. They didn't have the mulch due to the limited space, but they had pies, jars of sauces, jellies, etc., garden decor, jewelry, indoor and outdoor plants, and lots of items worth to stop and look for a gift. 4" potted plants were $7. The owner and her family were present and all very polite and very nice. I decided to buy my mother-in-law a cute hanging ornament with a bird and flowers on it ($10) and a sweet note. I also bought a cute metal lavendar butterfly plant stick (listed for $7) . Mother's day is around the corner, so stop in and support this small, local family business.
