I still receive compliments from friends and family that remember him. With that said, that was years ago. I took Bam-Bam to Ultimate Dog at 4 months? Maybe slightly older. It was the best decision I made. Jean's style, at the time, was perfect for me and my family. She was clear, direct, and could identify the subtle mistake(s) in my instruction. That was key - to know what you are doing wrong while training your dog so you can correct it. My recommendation is to ask questions and have the mindset that you are seeking to learn how YOU will train your dog and you must put in the time. I recall a dog owner from our class that didn't do the exercises and blamed her Rottie for being disobedient. I don't write a ton of reviews but just had a conversation with a friend and Bam-Bam came up in conversation. Thanks Jean, you made me look good whenever anyone met Bam-Bam.

We found after 4 private sessions with Jean we were the ones who needed the training as well as the dog! Though he's not perfect (yet) he's well on his way! We plan on taking him to her distraction classes as other dogs seem to be his biggest issue. We've done training with other trainers in Monmouth County and Jeans methods hands down have been the best for us and our dog!

But what I value most is that she has helped me become a better dog parent by better understanding Sam, my Brittany pup. I think I learned as much from observing how she handled my then 5 mth pup, as much as I did from what she told me. The only negative I would say is that Britt is no longer this Asbury secret and getting into her classes - group or private - may take some scheduling :) (Btw Good Boy Training has abt 200 reviews on google so they are less represented here in Yelp for sure)

I immediately took Charlie to garden state emergency vet and vet diagnosed Charlie with severe corneal burn from shampoo. Owner Beth refused to believe the vet. Charlie was prescribed two pain killers liquid gabapentin and a pill twice a day and eye drops three times a day. Garden State Vet wanted Charlie back for follow up visit. Follow up visit vet prescribed more pain medication and eye drops three times a day. I sent bills from both vets (2) to Beth. Today I received payment. Long term effects of a corneal burn to this degree is yet to be known. I am a long time customer and am very upset that in my opinion as well as both veterinarians opinions this was in fact a shampoo eye burn. God knows which shampoo person did this at Beth's Floof aka Planet Poodle business. Beth said all her groomers are show dog groomers really then what about your shampoo people!!! I don't want this to happen to any other dogs!
