My dog was very reactive, high anxiety,…read moreterritorial, and had various other behavioral issues, including barking, leash pulling, lunging and leash aggression. Leaving the house was pure chaos and nearly impossible to do. Encounters with strangers and other dogs were complete hell that I tried to avoid at all costs so my dog ended up staying home most of the time. I tried other trainers and anxiety medications for my dog but they provided minimal relief. Once I took my dog to Tim, I started seeing improvement each week. Tim is very knowledgeable about dog behavior and offers a very individualized approach to every dog's needs. He is passionate about dogs and dog training and really cares about getting results for you and your dog. He listens and provides thoughtful insight and helps you to understand and change your dog's behavior so that you have life-long lasting results. He has completely rehabilitated my dog in a way that I didn't think was possible. He really believed in my dog's potential and encouraged me not to give up, for which I am incredibly thankful. His classes are interesting and uniquely designed and focus on a variety of skills so that your dog is challenged and not bored. It has been very rewarding seeing my dog (as well as all the other dogs in the class) make so much progress. Thanks to Tim my dog no longer has to be left behind at home and I can take him with me when I go out. He is much calmer and more confident, listens to commands and gets compliments on his manners. I can now take him on walks, go to parks, the beach, outdoor patios, shopping, etc. and enjoy life and the city together. Even if your dog doesn't have behavioral issues, I really recommend Tim and his dog training classes for basic dog obedience. Even if your dog just needs to brush up on a few skills like listening to commands, leash walking, impulse control, etc., I highly recommend Tim. Having a well trained dog is an invaluable asset, it has really changed mine and my dog's life. Thank you Tim!

The convenient Wheaton location of the facility is great for daycare and they also allow for half-day daycare too. Very flexible scheduling. When I pick my dog up, I can tell that she's received personalized attention from the staff and that she has been well cared for. Often she's been able to work one-on-one with a staff member for nearly all of her half-day session. We also attend the group classes which are incredibly unique and let my dog build up practice interacting with other dogs in a way that reinforce new, good behaviors. My neighbors are thrilled with the progress almost as much as I am - my dog no longer automatically barks at everyone outside now and is able to make new friends. The in home training we did originally was incredibly valuable to get us started on the right foot. We need to do that again very soon! Is it the least expensive daycare and/or training in the area? No. But it is ABSOLUTELY worth it. When I leave my dog in the care of The Canine's Voice I know that she's going to be safe, loved, and will learn a few things while she's there. The classes are incredibly valuable too. The results speak for themselves.

She had plenty of tips and techniques and it was nice having her visit the home for the sessions to see how he is in that environment. And a place that can handle all his medications. After several failures, I was referred to this location through Shelton's adoption center, One Tail At A Time. He has never been so calm and chill, leaving boarding, too bad I missed a video opp! Typically he is all ball of anxiety, this is also the first time he's gone straight to sleep after arriving home!! Checking in, the staff said, "if you don't hear from us, that is a good thing." I was a bit skeptical, but that was a true statement! They called when something was right with his poop when there was extra medication in his bag and to inquire about his toys. I appreciated the ongoing communication, and judging by the report card, he loved the team. I was side-eying the $88 a day (with a private patio), but it is worth the price (esp if your pet is non-animal friendly). The basic suites are spacious for a short stay.

That is understandable so I left. After receiving the most current vaccination records, I returned around 12:30pm and encountered Bridgette. I explained the situation and provided her the records. As Bridgette was entering the information, I asked if my dog could be seen now or wait until 1:30pm (an appointment I made about 20 minutes prior). Bridgette said yes and to go get my pet from the car. Here's where the situation turned from great to worse. Bridgette was no longer at the desk and I waited in line for more than 10 minutes to get checked in. As the associates (male stylist with piercings in his right eyebrow and right ear) and female stylist Lo was figuring things out, Lo stated loudly that I would have to wait because I was late. I informed Lo that I was not late as Bridgette approved me to come in early for my 1:30pm appointment. I informed Lo unless she knows the situation, she should not try to embarrass me with her loud comment. About 45 minutes after dropping my dog off, I received a text informing me my dog was ready. I thought that was quick but I turned around and went back. I was met by the stylist with the piercing and he asked "what can I do for you ". I informed him that I received a text stating my dog was ready. He looked and said that was a mistake. No apologies or remorse just that was a mistake. I demanded my dog as this service and experience has been the absolute worst! The stylist never apologized even after retrieving my dog.
