As the owner of Prime Appeal Home Services, I hired Sister's Crystal Clean (Ashley Higginbotham) on 8/20 to deep clean a client's home before listing it for sale. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing, and I will never recommend or rehire this company. First, a deposit was suddenly requested (without prior discussion), followed by pressure for full payment before the job--despite her own invoice stating "Remaining Balance Due Day of Service." This was a red flag, but I moved forward after being assured the job would be completed 100%. Ashley did arrive on time, but professionalism and quality were lacking. She entered with a vape pen, which she used inside the client's home (a major concern, especially with hidden cameras in place). Her cleaning was sub-par: Hair left in tubs in the primary suite and main-level guest bathroom. Baseboards, cabinets, grout, and countertops were poorly cleaned or untouched. Floors in the kitchen and bathrooms were not swept or mopped with exception of the guest bathroom on main level. Trash was left behind in the guest bathroom. She admitted being "exhausted" and promised to return with help the next day but never showed up, ignoring follow-up texts. Shockingly, I even had to help her clean the granite countertops and grout to ensure my client's home was ready. Her supplies were also inadequate--basic items you'd find in a kitchen cabinet, no heavy-duty degreasers, stainless steel cleaner, or even proper trash bags (she used Dollar Tree-sized bags and quickly ran out). Mid-job, she asked me to purchase oven cleaner, paper towels, and scrub pads myself and deduct the cost from her pay. When I questioned how she could be "almost finished" without proper supplies or addressing key areas, it became clear she was prepared to leave with the job half done. Only after I arrived did she remain for several more hours to complete the bare minimum. In short, what was supposed to be a professional deep clean turned into an unprofessional, exhausting experience where I--despite paying in full--had to assist the cleaner in her own work. For those considering Sister's Crystal Clean: save yourself the frustration. There are many reliable cleaning services out there, but this was not one of them. read more
