Just a horrible mess. We went to our neighbor's sale in Wilmette. They should be called the screaming sisters or swearing sisters. I have never heard such verbal abuse towards customers. Nothing was priced. The owner's medications were on the countertop. The home was a mess. There were items strewn all over the house, on the floor, stairs, closets, hindering movement. Someone had a huge pile of items they were buying. One of the sisters said $200. The other person said $20. They sister swore at the person calling them cheap, "were not in Skokie" and told them to "get out of here." The other woman countered and offered $25 which the sister agreed to. They then gave the person free items. "Go ahead just take it." The same abuse occurred multiple times while we were there. There were only two employees in the house, both in the same room and no one else. The sale was understaffed and people were taking advantage of the situation. If you are looking for steals of a deal this is the perfect place for you as long as you can tolerate their verbal abuse. If you intend on hiring them you should attend one of their "give your home away for free" sales first so you know what you are getting into. Just a horrible mess.

Me and my girlfriend went to our first ever estate sale today, and I must say I don't know what all these negative reviews are about. Sister Sales are for sure wired up and they are HUSTLING. But the one sister explained everything to us how estate sales work as we had no clue and worked with us like crazy to send us home with an awesome living room table we fell in love with. She knocked hundreds off original asking price and we're very happy with it. Honestly this experience has us wanting to do estate sales more now. Didn't experience and rudeness or racism as other people mention. Just a bit pushy on the sales but as I said that's the job. I think you need to go into things like this with an open mind.

    Mean sister

Nothing priced, person running sale was so rude and condescending. Also her mask around her neck, so not practicing appropriate covid protocol. There are far better estate companies available. Steer clear of this horrible company.

Rude, obnoxious and insulting. If that's how you like to be treated when you attend an estate sale, the attend the sisters sales.

Working with The Estate Edit was a pleasure from start to finish. Molly was incredibly organized…read moreand communicative, which was especially important since I was coordinating both the estate sale and the sale of my parents' home from another state. She took care of everything, making sure my parents felt comfortable throughout the process. She was especially patient and kind with my mom, who was anxious and overwhelmed preparing to sell their home of nearly 50 years and most of their belongings. The Estate Edit not only advertised and sold several large-ticket items before the sale, but also staged everything beautifully. They even created an INCREDIBLE, customized video that highlighted the items for sale while celebrating the history of our family home--a special touch we'll never forget. During the sale weekend, Molly checked in with me daily to update me on what was selling. What could have been a stressful, emotional process turned out to be smooth, professional, and even more successful than I expected--we sold and earned more than I had hoped, and their services were worth every penny. I can't recommend The Estate Edit highly enough!

Do not trust these people. I bought a peace of furniture from them over the phone. They sent me an…read moreinvoice with absolutely no information on it other than the dollar amount. I then contacted them letting them know it didn't say anything about what I was purchasing. Then they just put ottoman. So I wrote them back stating that it was for a leather ottoman in very good condition. Which was what they told me. But neglected to put on the invoice. I then proceed to pay for it. I had a funny feeling at that point. Then I went to pick up my item a few days later. I had my doubts that it was leather at that point. I asked if they were sure it was leather again. They told me it was definitely leather. So I took them at their word. After loading the ottoman I took it to a leather furniture store in S. Barrington. He confirmed what I had thought. It was vinyl. I then proceeded to contact them. Thinking that maybe it was an oversight. Their reply was try to sell it on facebook marketplace. I did not tell them I wanted any money off. Nor did I tell them I wanted to return it. I just left the ball in their court. But me trying to sell it on marketplace is a joke. Thank god , I bought it with american express. I contacted them immediately. They issued me a refund. Pending an investigation. I will also be contacting the state's attorney's office. Due to the company's fraudulent representation. If you get screwed over by this company. I recommend you do the same. If you buy anything from this company be careful. They will tell you anything. To sell it to you. After looking at there reply.you can see that they are scammers. Nothing like we can meet at an expert to verify or please give us a call to rectify the situation. By the way the delay was because the invoice didn't state what I was getting. I can just imagine what would have happened if I didn't get clarification. Oh and by the way I wasn't even picking it up until the next day. So how was I trying to walk out with it without paying. Obviously just excuses from a scamming company. That got caught in there lies.

Fair pricing, clear organization, and a calm, enjoyable experience (which is rare in this world) make every sale worth showing up for. But what truly sets them apart is the heart behind it. This is a hardworking family, and it shows in the way they treat every home, every item, and every customer--with genuine respect. As someone with an average household, I appreciate being able to find beautiful, unique pieces at prices that actually make sense--without turning to big-box stores or paying for shipping. It feels good to support a business that values both people and sustainability. They're not just selling items--they're giving pre-loved pieces a second life and keeping them out of landfills.
