Yowza...I've read some pretty sad reviews about this spot, but I must admit, my experience today was pretty good. I think a lot of it had to do with the young man who helped us. RJ happened to be outside as we entered, he kindly held the door for my father and I, and when he saw my elderly father's cane, he rushed to find him a seat while we conducted our business. I'd gone in to have my mother's vintage Rolex serviced and appraised. Her birthday is coming up in a few months, and I thought it would be a lovely gesture to have it fixed for her 80th. RJ took the Rolex directly to the back for a quick evaluation, and I was impressed since we hadn't been in the store two minutes. PLOT TWIST: RJ came out less than 5 minutes later to let me know my mother's vintage Rolex was "a very good knock-off!" Turns out my father purchased a hot Rolex back in the late 70s thinking it was real. No wonder he got such a good price! To RJ's everlasting credit, at no point did he attempt to shame me, ridicule us, or rush us out of the store. As a matter of fact, he took the time to show me all the ways in which, if you looked closely, you could tell it wasn't a legitimate Rolex. He was even so kind as to put my mother's Nolex (as I will now forever call it) beside a legit Rolex and point out the subtle differences. It was actually a rather fun exchange, we all shared a few giggles, and RJ was kind enough to show me a few things in my price point that would still allow me to gift my mother with a Rolex for her birthday in a few months. Gorgeous pieces but waiting THREE months for a refund for twice paid repair is unacceptable. Four visits to the store for this. When I picked up 'repaired' chain, the associate pulled it out of the bag to show me & it broke in the same place. I paid for that repair! Left it for redo & when my daughter picked it up for me, she was charged AGAIN! No response from multiple texts that are acknowledged, but no follow up. read more

This is possibly the worst run company I've come across in a long time. Went to buy my daughter a ring, was told it was not in stock but they would ship it from another store and it would arrive in two days. I waited 5 days thinking maybe they lost my phone number. I called and they said the other store just didn't send it but they would overnight it and call me the next day. 14 days later I sent an email to the CEO about our experience and it has been another 20 days with no response. These people don't care about their customers AT ALL! I will NEVER even consider stepping inside another of their stores. People deserve better....you won't find it here. read more

Our family has shopped at Sissy's log cabin for nearly 40 years. We won't be back. An appraisal of our investments culled from this retailer was heartbreaking Not to mention the simple request of a watch band replacement cost of over $4,000 on a vintage Rolex - ridiculous. I took the same watch and request to two other jewelers (one in Houston and the other in Los Angeles) to come back at a price approximately 1/4 the quoted cost at Sissy's. This shocker prompted us to look at all the custom work and vintage pieces we had bought dating back to Pine Bluff days and our hearts sank. Oh how I long for the days when I could go to Caves and get something unique or custom that was not pandered on a magazine page to the masses. I have Beverly Hills and matching prices there for that experience-- and can have it with a cocktail in the language of my choice. Women's selection is broad and varied while men's are sorely lacking. Watches are limited to Tag which are off trend now by six years. I gave those as gifts to industry creatives 8 years ago. No Omegas, Panerai or current cost conscious options of style were even displayed. Stalwarts like the Tank, Rolex, Piaget where not to be found either. It's sad when an Institution becomes trite and even worse predictable. One must ask where did all the jewelers go? Where does one find luxury and faith that their purchases will stand the rest of time. I can tell you. As it was 50 years ago it has now become a fact again. You have to go to Dallas for the truly "Good Stuff." Shop somewhere else for your special memories. The inventory here has become comically overpriced and lacks any individuality or soul. read more

I had them appraise my jewelry. The lady who helped me when I walked in was arrogant and wanted to argue with me about the value of the Rolex I purchased from them years before. She was mean and condescending. If I was going to spend my hard earned money on jewelry I wouldn't spend it here unless you want the person working at the counter make you feel awful and inferior. I will fly to Dallas or another major city to purchase jewelry rather than be treated like a 3 rd rate citizen. I have shopped at Sissy's since she sold just antiques in Pine Bluff. I recently took a diamond in for their Diamond Trade-in event. I was prepared with my IGA (International gemological Association) paperwork. I waited my turn and was very patient- the worker was selling a $10k Rolex so I hung back. I finally left because I did not want to interfere with a big sale (even though I had already waited an hour). I came back the next day with my diamonds and waited another hour while my diamonds were being discussed or ignored. The salesperson came out and started- if you don't have paperwork from the same people Sissy's gets their diamonds from- NO TRADE, NO CONSIDERATION, NOTHING. BTW- Brooke's jewelry in Conway does their custom jewelry work then sissy's charges you double the price. Sad how much they have changed! read more

I've always heard folks rave about Sissy's... so as I traveled through Little Rock with birthday money burning a hole in my pocket and wanting to add to my David Yurman collection I decided to stop. It was a quiet rainy Sunday afternoon in December... the store was clean, Christmas treats decorating the counters, plenty of lights illuminating the sparking jewels... that's where the good experience went silent. I browsed (approx 20 mins) counter to counter, from designer to designer, and not one staffer (& there were plenty standing around) greeted or offered a welcome -let alone offered to help.
