They've recently extended their outdoor seating area in time for the summer which will be good for when the sun eventually comes out. We booked a table for lunch as there was 12 of us and no-one was disappointed with neither food nor service, it was pretty quiet though. They don't play any music so it's a good pub for a catch up. Inside the pub is plit into two sides each with little spaces so although the pub is big it feels really cosy. When the cold really sets in they light fires which is amazing (if you can get a table near it!) The style is traditional and it is kept in a really good state. There is plenty of parking at the back of the pub and a large outside area with heaters (for the smokers :o) ). The only bad experince I have had there was with a friend who was on a diet, she asked for a ceaser salad without ceaser dressing and parmesan and was told it would be best if she ordered something else!!! which I though was disgusting! However the food is lovely and in all my time of going there that was my only bad experience! One thing to note, if your paying by card you have to open a tab to buy food and drinks as you can't buy food from the bar or drinks from the food order point which can be a bit of a pain!
