Shout out to all the David's-there are like a million Davids there- but they're all wonderful. Trust me I'm not the easiest person to deal with. But I had Lynda as my counselor and she was/is a GOD send. The staff is all really nice and the food is good. The rooms are comfy and you feel like you're at a house and not at a facility. I recently relapsed after a friend passed and they welcomed me back with open arms. When you go to Kemah Palms you will leave with a family. And for some of us, that's all we want/need. Highly recommend.

I would give it negative stars if I could. There is NOTHING luxury about this place. Filthy dirty, worn out and awful. I was there for 2 days and NEVER saw a doctor---which is illegal I believe. Just stay away. They show you nice pictures of the therapy house---but when you go through detox you get dumped in an old beat up disgusting cabin that is filthy and old. When I sat on the couch, I sank to the floor. Run, run, run!

After regular work hours, you may have to wait a good while for someone to let you in, also after hours, they do very little activities and it is quite possible that you will find residents unattended. If anything happens to your loved one, they do not accept any responsibility and will lie about what happened to avoid any blame on themselves. Don't leave anything nice, it WILL come up missing and the clothes will be ruined. I had to throw out almost everything my mother had because it was dingy and had spots in it. Creekside has no problem increasing their rate at any time and as many times as they want in a year. In one year, they increased their monthly rate 3 times with just 1 month notice. The director, Debbie will have you believe there is little to no employee turnover, that is not true and Debbie is away from the office more than she is there. If money is no object, as with other things mentioned here, Creekside is the place for your loved one.
