TL;DR/The Short Version: Best Coco location ever! I got so…read moremany toppings in my drink and they did not skimp at all. They had to give me a second cup with the rest of my taro slush because the first cup was filled with toppings, lol. The Long Version: Took my mom here and treated her to an epic drink: Large Taro Slush with tapioca pearls, sago, crystal pearls, coconut jelly, grass jelly and tea jelly. I was a bit disappointed they didn't have fresh taro (which is on their menu but was crossed out) or red bean (Coco doesn't carry this topping, which is too bad) because I would have added those too. Haha. The drink came in 2 cups because it was too epic, lol. One with all the toppings and a little bit of the slush and one with the remainder of the slush. We took it back to my parents' house and poured everything into a large bowl and mixed it up and repoured it into the glasses and we ate it with a spoon. My mom shared the drink with my dad and I (I knew she would, so treating her to the epic over the top drink wasn't entirely selfless, haha). It was reminiscent of those Taiwanese desserts. It was so delicious!! Staff were courteous and efficient. The store is very big and clean with lots of seating. They had a little shop inside the store that sells cute little Asian knickknacks like stuffed animals, stationery, keychains, stickers and things like that. This location is in the Kanata Centrum. Lots of free parking. (202)

The 2 of the 4 TV screens where the menu would be were not working. They only had the top drinks and the drink of the day. But once you get to the counter, there is a full list of drinks. Drinks were great and refreshing They didn't have any structure of where to line up so when we got there there was a crowd and we had to ask people if they were in line.

This is one of those pottery places where you buy unfinished pottery items then you paint them and…read morethey bake them for you to make it a finished product. However, they also have bubble tea. And you can just go in and buy bubble tea, you don't have to be a pottery customer. This is what I did. I got a small lychee milk tea with tapioca ($4.25 plus an additional $0.50 for the tapioca pearls). I asked for in half sweet and the sweetness level was perfect for me. The drink itself was tasty. The tea flavour wasn't too pronounced, but it was still enjoyable. The tapioca though was another story. Unfortunately, it wasn't that great. It was fresh because it was still warm, but the inside wasn't fully cooked so the core of the pearls was still hard. And some of them clumped together, so it was difficult to suck them up the straw. I suspected the bubble tea wouldn't be great because it's sort of a side business to the pottery business, but I thought I'd give it a try anyway. I think you'd fare better if you ordered the jelly as a topping. Staff were very pleasant. There's lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot. The place is a big hard to find. You have to go looking for it. It's highly unlikely that you would just stumble upon it, as it is not visible from the road, you have to drive around the parking lot to the back of the plaza.

Fresh and tons of it Biggest carrots I've ever seen!? Same with the seafood. I only go here for frozen shrimp and scallops now. Cheaper. Good quality. Steaks too, good cuts. Cheaper again. There is a seafood room with fresh lobsters, fish etc. There is a fresh food area where food goes by weight. I've done this x 2. Good but very expensive. Lots of packaged noodles which I love. So many things I've purchased on a whim. IE soup dumplings and frozen chive pancakes. Yum. Staff upon check out and in aisles... No. Not great but it won't stop me from coming.. and... 4 easy stars.

TL;DR/The Short Version: Asian grocery store at Grant…read moreCrossing. Big, bright and clean. Mostly items from China but they have items from other countries too. The Long Version: My parents first introduced me to Green Fresh when they only had one location (the OG that was on Selkirk, that has since closed down). It was dingy and run down, but had lots of Asian ingredients that they were looking for. And it was the closest Asian grocery store to where they lived. They were thrilled when it moved to McArthur and had a total facelift, it was new, bright and clean. Green Fresh then opened a second location in Nepean on Merivale, closer to my neck of the woods. Then in January 2025, they opened this third location in Kanata/Stittsville. It's in the Grant Crossing, where the Bed, Bath and Beyond used to be (next to the Value Village). This newest location is very similar to the Nepean location. It even has the same bubble tea vendor inside (Y-Not Go For Tea). Which is a bit funny because the first Y-Not Go For Tea location is inside the Hunt Club T&T and T&T and Green Fresh are competitors! The Vanier Green Fresh has a different bubble tea vendor though: World Tea House. I visited this Kanata/Stittsville location shortly after opening, so maybe they don't have all their stuff together yet because although they have a section labelled "Bakery" they didn't have any baked goods :( However, they do have a prepared food section. It's self-serve and you pay by the weight ($2.29 per 100g). They also have a counter where they make Jianbing, Chinese crepes. There was a huge line up for these when I went, so they are definitely popular. They have lots of items, including snacks (my favourite aisles), lol. Most of the products are from China, but they have items from other countries too. They had Kracie DIY gummy kits imported from Japan. And they were only $4.99. The west end is now flush with Asian grocery stores (T&T, Kowloon, now Green Fresh, and soon Sunny Food Mart) compared to the east end (to my parents' chagrin). I'd say the prices here are the lowest generally speaking. However, the prepared foods did not look as appetizing to me as at the other Asian grocery stores. Free parking in the plaza parking lot.
