She is so patient even with my very spirited nephew and groaning brother. She knows how to capture my boys for these special milestones. She was fun and positive and never hesitated to switch things up to keep us happy. It's especially difficult to shoot two (very picky) clients together for an industry that demands perfection. We have never left a headshot shoot truly happy with any of the photos, but on this shoot we had a hard time narrowing it down since we loved so many. She told me we'd be going to a park, but instead drove us to a muddy tree farm. Not only was this not to my taste, my younger daughter has a muscular disorder and CAN'T EVEN WALK on uneven ground. She kept falling down and was hysterical most of the time. At one point Jerrah said to her in a sing-songy voice, "oh, come on now, you can get up, it's so easy!" WHO SAYS THAT TO A DISABLED CHILD??? My younger daughter's hysterical, my older daughter's distraught that her beloved little sister is upset, I'm stressed, pissed off AND wearing high heels in the middle of a farm field and we're rushed through the entire shoot She mentioned the lighting would be really good in about 15 minutes (the "golden light" that's so pretty), then said she didn't want to wait that long and had to get home. She only took about 30 shots total, most of which were us seated on a filthy blanket in a dirty field. Owing to all this, our pictures were absolutely terrible and a compete waste of $350.

I debated for a while whether we should do this or not since she is a picky photographer wannabe herself. And the time passed so fast. I used the function in Yelp to reach out to multiple photographers and Heidi was one that responded along others. She requested more information by email and she had the flexible dates and reasonable price for what we wanted. Heidi suggested several locations such as Jennings park, Snohomish downtown etc.. Daughter wanted to get done in Snohomish. It was raining the day unfortunately and wasn't sure how it will turn out to be. Heidi even offered to change some other time. But we just decided to do as our schedule was heck tic at the time. It was supposed to be 40 minutes long session but probably ended up like an hour? My daughter changed once, formal to casual. Also she wore graduation gown and cap in the middle of the session. Heidi was very patient and tried to accommodate what we wanted. The whole session went smooth as she knows the area, how she wanted my daughter (and her boyfriend) to be the model. She went above and beyond every step of the way. Carly did the engagement photos and she and her husband shot the wedding in 2010…read more She trooped out into the snow for the engagement photos at the insistence of the stubborn man I was with and she was pleasant and delightful as ever, even though she had to get a ride from her dad due to her car not being road worthy due to the snow. For the wedding, they showed up early and took many pictures. We had a few pictures in mind that we wanted and due to me having bronchitis for the month before the wedding, I hadn't planned beyond that. Carly took over for managing the location of the pictures and getting people to cooperate. The only cons were that there were serious, special moments not captured on film that I feel should have been along with a poor choice for a background for the group photos. However, we didn't give her much direction and the family on both sides weren't cooperating with the pictures, so she did a pretty great job all things considered. I would definitely recommend her to anyone for their family or wedding pictures.
