Aamco saved me $$$ and I received stellar treatment! I have read mixed reviews about this location taking too long to follow up or a customer's car has been sitting too long. It happens everywhere. sometimes when we are experiencing a time crunch, we expect businesses to bump us up. That is not reality. Since the pandemic, autoparts have been difficult to obtain. They stated multiple times over the years that their "classic car guy" was an expert and could handle a classic car. For the first 5 years of living in atlanta, I took my classic mercedes here until they finally told me their classic car guy was leaving and they wouldn't touch my car going forward. Frankly, they did 5 years of changing my oil and nothing else but they'd charge me for what they called "regular maintenance". Regular maintenance on a classic car should include a lot more than just topping up the oil and calling it a day, but every time I'd mention knocking noises or brake issues or anything else to them, they wouldn't address it at all so I had no idea if they thought it was an issue or didn't. Finally 5 years later, thank god their classic car guy left, because I took it over to a place in Decatur and all of the things I had been worried about, they found a reason, they gave me a full breakdown online of what they recommended and why, they answered all of my questions, and I could pay the invoice online and feel good about it. Update: As of 9:30 p.m., Jacob, the owner, repeatedly called and texted me after my review. He first falsely claimed I'd only visited once four years ago, then offered to pay me, which I refused. After that, he pulled up what he claimed were years of invoices that were not real, despite the fact that I have the original receipts for my own transactions. Even after I repeatedly told him to stop contacting me, he continued until I had to block his number. Based on both my experience and his behavior afterward, I would never recommend this business.

Well, they bent over backwards to help me aslong I had my vehicle in shop before 8am. I arrived at 7:45 am, Scott was opening up shop. I gave him the key & hoofed off to Corner Coffee. Scott shows up at Corner Coffee at about 12:30 pm to pick me up after repairs were done. He tells me that the transmission pump replacement took much less time than anticipated. So he gives me a generous labor credit. I was floored. AAA Auto Care wanted $7K to replace the transmission when all I needed was a pump replacement - a $2K cost. The honesty, integrity and communication was flawless. As a small business owner, I value these principles - and they nailed it. So don't even think twice before having Mr Transmission do your car repair for transmissions, brake work, fluid changes (oil, transmission, brakes, coolant), etc. If they don't do it, you can expect an honest answer. Then the car still didn't work, and they said I needed another engine. I purchased the engine through them. I was only given one choice of engine. I had to put this on credit to be able to pay for it. They never updated the correct miles and after the new engine the car still didn't work. There was only a 30 day warranty. Then they said there was something wrong with the fly wheel which never came up during the diagnostic. Then they told me they had no one to fix it. I took my car from them broken and in worse condition than before and they broke the key fob to my car. I spent over $7,000 with them to still recieve a car that didn't work after months. I got myself into debt with no car. An engine should never have a 30 day warranty. The car sat up there for almost 30 days after putting in the new engine until I just had the car towed away.

He said he would return to install it, but after that point communication became very unreliable. I texted several times with no response. When he finally replied "yes" to confirm he would complete the repair, he still never followed through. Since then, my messages have gone unanswered. On top of that, he told me the broken stud was "no big deal" and that he knows someone who drives around with multiple broken studs - which was extremely concerning to hear from someone responsible for vehicle safety. I don't feel comfortable driving with a broken wheel stud, and the situation has been left unresolved. I wish this could have been a positive review, but based on the lack of accountability, poor communication, and safety concerns, it cannot be.

After their "diagnostic," I was told my rotors were warped and agreed to repairs totaling about $2,200, believing they had actually identified the problem I came in for. They didn't. The original noise, wobble, and vibration were still there. I brought the car back, and suddenly they discovered that my driveshaft was completely loose--and now I'm being quoted another $1,500+ just for the part. How does a shop perform a diagnostic for noise, wobbling, and vibration and completely miss a major driveline issue? I spent thousands of dollars based on their diagnosis, the actual problem was never fixed, and now I'm expected to spend thousands more for something that should have been identified the first time. At this point, I feel completely taken advantage of. I would not trust this shop with another repair.
