After months of trying to reach the HMRC Helpline with no success at all except once early on a Saturday morning I was starting to despair. So, pessimistic as usual I called into the HMRC Enquiry Centre on Wellington Place one lunchtime expecting it to be full but there was no queue whatsoever. There are phones available to contact HMRC, I got straight through no problem, almost impossible feat to date, and what's more got a positive answer, at last. How amazing.

I called in last year after buying a netbook online - only to find when the little rascal arrived, it wouldn't work when the power lead was unplug which left it a little bit pointless... it being a portable netbook and all that. They staff were very helpful - my issue was I had been refunded the cost of the item but not the delivery cost of over £20. The information they gave me was vital in securing the rest of my reimbursement and for that I thank them.

Plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, churches, and historical locations surrounding the city hall. Inside is very beautiful layout architecture with a beautiful dome plus plenty of glass windows artwork. Inside the surrounding garden within, there are: Titanic Memorial Garden, Korea War Memorial, Victoria Memorial, Boer War Memorial Royal Irish Riffles, and couple statues on the other side plus city ground for you to seat and admire the city hall.

Belfast Welcome Centre's not somewhere I would normally visit as I tend to think it's just for…read moretourists. But I needed a new Metro Travel Card and discovered they're available to purchase from here so popped in to buy one. Staff were helpful and located at desks toward the back of the Centre. I was able to get the card quickly and had time to browse. I was impressed at the range of Northern Ireland themed gifts available, especially as they weren't all stereotypical tacky souvenirs but were instead beautifully designed items by local Artists e.g. mugs, bags, stationary, cushions, whiskey marmalade, chocolates and ornaments. There are lots of traditional shamrock, Guinness and Game Of Thrones merchandise too, if that's what you're after. There's a wealth of information, leaflets and tickets for festivals, events, tours, restaurants, pubs, hotels, entertainment and transport. Belfast Welcome Centre also offer free Wi-Fi, a left luggage facility and a bureau de change. There are screens throughout showing films about Belfast's history and attractions plus some interactive touch screens. A brilliant resource for both locals and tourists.

I even managed to pick up Belfast 'summer offers' leaflet which includes great offers such as 20% off a candy making demonstration at Aunt Sandra's Candy Factory, or 15% discount on Escarmouche Outdoor Laser Quest, as well as hints and tips on where to shop, stay and even park.
