6 months on I'm still going and it has to be the best ever barber shop period. I've gotten cuts from both Luke and Jo. I've not gotten a cut from Stu, but he's a friendly lad and from what I've seen he gives a solid cut too. There's also drinks (alcoholic or otherwise), banter, and music to top off that wicked cut from a crew of skilled and good-natured lads. I also have some of the products they sell and these too are f****** awesome. I have the Matt pomade and Deluxe pomade from Uppercut Deluxe and not only do these products work and not leave residue, but smell brilliant and come in an attractive tin. Luke gave me one of their wooden Sink & Anchor combs for my beard and it works well and gets out the tangles without tugging it like a plastic comb. Most recently, I was running low on beard oil so I picked up a jar of Mariner Jack beard balm and not only does the wax smell nice, but it isn't rock hard and comes in a Cornish glass jar which looks nicer than a plastic container in my opinion. Also my beard feels soft as silk and all my female friends like to pet it so it's obviously an effective balm. I can't imagine getting my hair cut anywhere else and having as great an experience. I am actually gutted that I'm going back to North America for summer and will have to get my cut elsewhere until I return in autumn. They also sell branded merchandise which looks pretty sick and I'm thinking of grabbing some before I go on holiday. Seriously give them a go. In my 19 years, I've been to various barber shops and all of them, even the best ones pale in comparison. read more
