This was exactly what I needed to get familiar with a professional woodshop and all the essential tools. The class accomplished its main goal perfectly: giving beginners hands-on experience with the equipment in a safe, structured way. Over two Saturday afternoon sessions (3.5 hours each), we made a simple candle holder while rotating through practically every major tool in the shop. We used the sliding compound miter saw, jointer, planer, table saw, band saw, router, and various sanders. While the project itself wasn't particularly exciting, it was clearly designed to maximize tool exposure rather than create a masterpiece. David was an excellent instructor who prioritized safety above all else and patiently answered every question. The class size of about 10 people felt just right for getting individual attention. The woodshop itself is impressive with a fantastic selection of professional-grade tools. Parking was easy and the classroom was simple to locate. At around $150 per person, it's not cheap, but felt reasonable considering you're getting access to thousands of dollars worth of equipment and quality instruction. Just expect to get covered in sawdust! We had plenty of time to complete our project without feeling rushed. This class is perfect for complete beginners who want to learn woodworking basics in a supportive environment. It's specifically designed as a safety prerequisite for their more advanced classes where you can tackle more interesting projects. If you're thinking about woodworking as a hobby or just want to try it out, this is an ideal starting point. I'm definitely planning to take more classes here.

I was typically the only student who came in-person since most students take the class remote, but being able to be in the same room as the instructor helped my motivation during class immensely. Rhya and Nicky are both so kind and knowledgeable. You can tell that they are not only experts in the language (as native speakers from the Philippines) but in pedagogy. As a community college professor myself, I admire how organized the class was and how welcoming they are. The other students in my recent class were highly motivated and excited to learn Tagalog for various reasons. Some like me grew up with Filipino parents but never learned Tagalog, while others are in relationships with Filipinos/Filipino Americans and want to engage more deeply with the community through language. Overall, SJLC has been a positive experience, and I am excited to take the next (and last) level of Tagalog 3. The current rates for Tagalog (7 weeks, weekly meeting for small group) is $399 remote, $419 in person, and $449 hybrid -- note: this is a "Prime" class, so it is priced a bit higher since the instructor is a native speaker with 5+ years of teaching experience).

They seem to use a mix of media (e.g. slides, Quizlet, etc. which is good). FYI - it is near SJC - San Jose Int'l airport and the jets taking off can be somewhat loud at times.

With that in mind, I was presented two options for industry-leading knowledge providers...and I chose Product School. Why? Because from the moment I engaged with the PS team, I was presented with timely, accurate, and relevant information pertaining my anticipated role and how they could assist me in being better prepared. At no point did anyone there "guarantee" me anything - which was much appreciated on my part. The financial admissions process was straightforward through a third-party lender and I was admitted into the upcoming course within a few days. A flurry of emails went out within a few minutes of acceptance and on-boarding was completed digitally in minutes. Now to the important stuff - how was the actual course? In short, it was excellent and far exceeded my expectations. I was fortunate to be surrounded by incredibly capable and engaged fellow learners and led by Rocky Sharma as an instructor. During the five days we covered all of the basic level skills required to understand the PM role and Rocky routinely placed us into learning groups to validate our theoretical concepts. If this were a course that lasted another week, I'd gladly make the time. I feel a lot better prepared now for my upcoming interview as a Product Manager and am looking forward to seeing how and where my new alum network goes in life. It's been a great week and I would recommend this course to a lot of folks considering starting a company, all the way to the potential product manager role!

I am stingy in review, so I'll put 4.5 round up to 5…read more I did a thorough research in the area for Korean learning. I have a busy schedule at home and at work so committing to a weekly in-class session on weekends or weeknights is almost impossible. I wouldn't be able to catch up on homework in addition of my business travels. Besides, a lot of local schools are for younger children. For adults, a lot of them are tailored to college enrolled students or business travel. Very few are made for recreational study, and offered in-person classes. 1. Flexibility - zoom classes Luckily, Adroit College offers online zoom classes mix with in-person sessions, which solves half my problems! I can call in zoom anywhere in the world. My quizzes and assignments are handed in online. Most class work and notes are shared in Google classroom. If you miss a class ? there is the zoom recording where you can rewind the dialogue many times! This helps studying in my own time. Flexibility is the key! 2 Focus on fundamental Dr. Koo is a traditional teacher. If you believe most teaching these days says 애 and 에 are the same pronunciation, you will definitely get a different perspective here. Dr.Koo is solid in her knowledge. She is flexible in her teaching but meticulous in her standard. There are many online courses preaching the easy way out, which ignores small differences because people will 'understand'; but I find that knowing the fundamental of words , pronunciations and expansion of some simplified forms of writing, helps expanding my gramma structure and easily pickup new gramma without coerce myself remembering all these rules. They are indeed very systematic if you understand the basic. Thanks to Dr.Koo 3. Friendly , small classes I must admit the progress is rather slow with a bunch of easy-going learners like us. You need to be discipline and review your course every week. Homework is not heavy. Quizzes are take-home style. You work on your own pace which is perfect for my circumstances as a mother of 3. If you are expecting spoon feed highly stressed get it done style, this won't be for you. My classmates ask a lot of questions and so do I. I try to practice a few lines of causal conversation every class randomly to my teacher or classmates. In other Korean schools, you will not have these opportunities.. Their focus is to rush through the curriculum so you get your exam or TOPIK1 soon. Learning is rather secondary in those Korean schools. I find here is friendly and teachers are patience. 4. Anything bad? yes, that's where the .5 is. The school is not as nice as you see in De Anza college. The cultural activities are not as vast as some of other ones. That's mainly due to the smaller enrollment and smaller Korean community here compare to SoCal (Irvine, OC). It is a chicken and egg question. I believe when the reputation grows again , there will be more participants and after class activities will be more fun. I look forward to this day! Overall, I highly recommend Adroit if you truly want to learn Korean differ from traditional schooling. They offer kpop, conversation only, and many special classes fitting for your learning goal. This is not a dry boring school where my kids will deter from learning their mother tongue. Come for a trial class and you'll be the judge !

Going above and beyond to bring in resources outside of the text book like restaurant menus and quizzes from other curriculums. Most classes are less than 4 students, so you'll get an intimate setting and lots of individual attention and help. I look forward to taking more classes here!

I cannot tell you how thrilled I was with this course: it flew by; the instructor was awesome (patient, thorough, patient, knowledgeable, patient); the material she covered was exactly what I needed to know with no fluff; and the examples/practice lessons were relevant and actually fun (did I say fun? who knew making pretty graphs would be cool?) I no longer fear numbers, sums, charts, lists, printing spreadsheets, or being asked to fix formatting nightmares. I learned that F keys are useful for more than holding your pen on the keyboard, and to embrace the words 'function,' 'formula,' and the "auto sum" key. Did I mention that they let you retake any course as many times as you want, for free, no time restrictions? Observations: * The place is really clean * The staff is very polite and helpful * Debby Brown, my instructor (and former 4th grade teacher) was totally awesome * The classrooms seat no more than 15 people (from what I could tell), so classes are small * The bathroom is clean (hey, it matters) * They use Microsoft 2007 (but also offer 2003), and the computer stations are clearly maintained: keyboards, chairs, and tables were spotless (what is nastier than a funky keyboard?) * Parking is plentiful I will be back. Thanks Debby!! :)

Five stars doesn't feel like enough…read more My daughter has been attending PACE (Pacific Autism Center for Education) for almost five years now, and I truly cannot say enough good things about this incredible place. From the very beginning, we were welcomed with open arms, and we've felt like part of a caring, supportive community ever since. Her teacher, Miss Rebekkah, has been with her the entire time--and I honestly believe she is heaven-sent. The level of care, compassion, and dedication she pours into her students is something so rare and beautiful. She has made such a profound impact on my daughter's life, and by extension, on our entire family. I also want to recognize her amazing para, Isabel. She is an absolute gem--kind, patient, and so deeply committed to my daughter's growth and well-being. It's clear every day that she genuinely cares, and knowing that my daughter has both Isabel and Miss Rebekkah in her corner brings me so much peace and gratitude. Every staff member at PACE is wonderful. They go above and beyond, not just meeting the students' needs but truly seeing them--celebrating their strengths, patiently guiding them through challenges, and treating each child with dignity, love, and respect. We are endlessly grateful for the work they do. PACE isn't just a school--it's a lifeline, a safe haven, and a place where our children are empowered to thrive. Thank you, Miss Rebekkah. Thank you, Isabel. Thank you, PACE.

It is because these fine folks are doing the best they can without the type of facility they want or need. They are kind, caring, smart, educated people who care about others and the community. The families that arrive to pick up their students are all nice. They don't want to be a nuisance. AND THEY ARE NOT! If you have a person on the spectrum, they would be in good hands receiving education from this fine center. They are good neighbors to have. They've brightened many a dull day for me by simply saying hello. I'm sad to leave this area, my home. I was born two miles from here. But leave I must. This corner is filled with great neighbors. They enjoy the sunsets looking down Pruneridge and also forest. They helped me out for my moving sale. But one of my favorite neighbors is the Autism center for education.
