I gave this review one star so I was able to write a review or I would've given it a big fat ZERO. I brought my son to the ER ( 4/22/26) with what I believed was a ruptured eardrum that was bleeding( also blood in his nose) We waited the expected 31/2-4 hours ( no issues with that, this is the norm and they had some bad accidents come in via life flight) and was brought back to a room. His vitals had been checked in triage when we first arrived. The Dr. came in about 30 minutes later and I explained how he had no symptoms and from the time his ear began hurting to the rupture was 4 hours. She attempted to look in his ear and said she couldn't see because of the pooled blood and asked if I would like her to call an ENT office to see if they could see him . She called came back in the room and said they were going to call me to bring him in , wrote some antibiotics ear drops and sent us on our way. I didn't protest because frankly she seemed unnerved and nervous. I just find it baffling that if she couldn't SEE what the issue was that she wouldn't have images ordered, or anything at all. I don't know why I keep going to this hospital . They continually disappoint. If they aren't rude they lack care. This used to be the best hospital on the Coast. Now it's just trash. read more

On June 26, 2025 I presented to the Emergency Department with abdominal pain and was subsequently admitted for emergency surgery, which was performed by Dr. Amy Scheller. I would just like to commend Dr. Scheller and her nurse practitioner, Heather Seymore for taking such good care of me. Dr. Scheller and her team were awesome and I would certainly consult her for any future needs that may arise. The entire surgery team is stellar. They made me feel like I mattered. And they have compassion and a wonderful bedside manner. My stay on the second floor was unfortunately not pleasant. The nurse practitioner had placed an NG tube and not long after she left the tube developed a kink. The nurse, Takyla was unable to get the tube straightened out, so she just left me like that all night. She never hooked up my leg compressions, nor did she hook my IV, I was left all night like that, dehydrating by the minute. No pain medication was ever offered and I didn't see that nurse again until the next morning. The only people who came in during the night were the techs to take my vitals and help me to the restroom. There was a very nice lady the next morning who offered to help me bathe if I wanted to. I didn't get her name, but she was very pleasant and seemed to know a bit about nursing. I was not going to complain, but the more I thought about it the more I felt compelled to write. I could have died that night and no one would have known it and I feel like they wouldn't care if I did. I felt like I was an imposition to the nursing staff and that they had other more important people to look after. I don't know if it's a cultural or societal clash. I just know I wanted to get out of there as soon as I could. And this is not the first time I have been a patient there on that floor. The nursing staff is just awful. And I've read the reviews online for SRHS and there are numerous complaints from people regarding the same things. In any case, it makes me not want to return there for treatment. And it appears that all of us patients' complaints are falling on deaf ears. I wish this could have been a more pleasant experience. But thank goodness for Dr. Scheller. read more

I am currently in Singing River, Ocean Springs location. I was admitted and had surgery. I couldn't be treated any better. Admitting was easy and professional. Surgery staff and recovery staff kept my daughter informed the whole time and made her feel comfortable and at ease. I have been given top notch care and the entire staff has treated me with nothing but respect and concern. I have had several hospital stays at other hospitals but this made me feel like I was their only patient. The food was outstanding and better than some restaurants I've eaten at. I recommend Singing River Ocean Springs to anymore that needs hospital care read more

It is impossible to express my gratitude for the Singing River Cancer Center staff. After completing 39 sessions of radiation therapy, I am absolutely thrilled with the results. The professionalism and superb service and kindness I received was unmatched. The unwavering treatment I received is impossible to put into words. My journey to recovery started 60 days ago when I was first diagnosed by Dr. Carter and his two capable nurses Tamara and Michelle. Dr. Carter's relentless pursuit for my cure reassured me that I will defeat this terrible cancer. I was then referred to the Pascagoula Cancer Center where Dr. Greenfield started my radiation treatments. Dr. Greenfield explained every aspect of my treatment and care and was always ready to make a solution to any issue the arose. I would be amiss if I didn't mention by name Dr. Greenfield's amazing staff. Front desk check in Ms Deborah who always greeted me with a smile. Medical assistant Brad who always cared about how I was feeling. Nurse Rhonda who immediately greets me and is always ready to help me with meds, etc. I am then escorted into the Radiation Treatment Room where Matt, Tiffany, Bridget, and David expertly administer my treatment and make a very difficult situation into a pleasant experience. Was made to believe that I was going to be seen by the doctor quickly but I sat out in waiting room for longer than what I should and then I asked the lady at the front desk if she knew how long it would be before I could get back there and she said there was only one doctor and 12 people waiting to be seen. Got out of there and went to Biloxi and they got to me very fast and took very good care of me. read more

A trip to the emergency room resulted in surgery to successfully remove a foreign particle stuck in my esophagus. Every employee I encountered and the doctor called in went out of their way to make me comfortable and kept me informed as the procedure progressed. Can't praise them enough. read more

First time using the same day surgery center at Ocean Springs Hospital. Unfortunately, the check in desk has no system, or does not use it, and they spend an extraordinary amount of time looking for the recovering patients family because the families are wandering around trying to figure out what is going on. I waited 6 hours before I overheard that we should have a patient number to track the progress and that I was in the drop off waiting room instead of the pickup waiting room so the doctor already went home. To remedy their error I was told that I should request that the doctor, who is already home in his swimming pool call me later. I realize this it only a very small section of the hospital but it speaks to their overall inefficiency and sloppy work. Let's hope the surgeon had it together... but I wouldn't know yet since I am still waiting in the wrong waiting room (the one the doctor does not check). read more

I had the unfortunate experience of losing a loved one here. As hard as that was I would like to commend the staff from the people in emergency to the staff in the ICU. They did all they could to try to save his life and also all they could to make it as comfortable for me as possible. Everyone I came into contact with are here for all the right reasons and really care about the patients and families that are having health issues. Just moved to Ocean Springs from the Chicago suburbs in March. Because of covid19 we were unable to hook up with a primary care physician. Our BP and cholesterol meds were running out and we needed bloodwork. So we made an appointment with a NP, Amy Pontus. She was not only awesome, but she was extremely detailed and thorough. Every person we encountered at Singing River was very professional and courteous. I'm so happy we found this medical practice and Nurse Practitioner Amy. read more

Singing River Gulfport is great! They have saved my life twice. They work with me patiently when it comes to finances. The quality of medical care is great. Nurses are absolutely the best. The new cancer center receptionist and nurses are second to none. The Doctors never rush and I can tell they sincerely care. One doc called me at home at 10:30 at night to discuss my condition. I was so impressed that he was working on my case late in to the night that I didn't mind being woke. They are light-years ahead of the local competition. I pray that they maintain their standards as they change ownership. read more

Absolutely horrific experience for our loved one and our family. We do not recommend bringing your family to the SRHS hospital in Pascagoula for ANY reason, even as a last resort. Horrible communication/attention between physicians/patient and family, non-transparency, false information provided regularly, negligence & failure to treat. Make the extra effort to drive further to receive proper care. read more

If you have anything complicated dont go here. They suggest you go out of town if it is anything serious. I was told this because I had a Liver transplant which made my care too complicated for them. The lab is convienent and quick. read more

Singing river in ocean springs is absolute trash. I came to the ER around 11:30 at night for assistance and I was there for 6 hours before they called anyone in the waiting room back. There were people who had been waiting since 5:30 that afternoon. There were roaches in the waiting room lobby. I didnt see a doctor until almost 8am. I was there for over 9 hours and barely got any assistance. If you have the chance to go to a different hospital then do so. read more

My family's experience here has been awful time and time again. Some of the providers are good but the overall care and demonstration of professionalism and competency causes me to give this a 1 Star. I'd never go there again but it's the only hospital system nearby. read more

My daughter delivered here and couldn't ask for a nicer or more attentive staff. The labor rooms were especially nice!
