I really like the staff at this hospital…read more We have been fortunate the last couple of ER visits to be the only ones in the waiting area when we arrived. My guy has waited a max of three hours to be taken to the back to be seen. So ER wait time is pretty damn quick. There are a handful staff members we love and a handful we really don't, but the ones in between are all friendly and helpful. For this particular visit, we arrived Saturday morning when my guy's grandpa lost all vision and coordination and his blood pressure dropped to half what he normally runs. They ran a ton of tests and admitted us. The negative: They told us on admit that they had no idea what was wrong. He was able to pass all the neuro stroke tests with flying colors. Sunday he became confused, something they call hospital psychosis/delirium. They way he was talking about things, we thought he was on his death bed, it was very much like end-of-life psychosis/delirium. Sunday morning they ran an MRI to rule out stroke, but they still said they didn't think that's what it was. They had the results immediately, which we know because we asked the nurse if she had them and she confirmed that she did but couldn't discuss them with us because she isn't qualified. We understand that, but the doctors didn't come back to tell us what was going on until Monday morning! Apparently he HAD suffered more than one stroke and would hopefully regain most of his function with therapy. So we spent an entire day completely distraught for no reason. The positive: The nurses were incredibly helpful. Some were less knowledgeable than others, but all were understanding and more than happy to help us out. My guy and I slept on a small couch the whole week because grandpa needed 24/7 assistance for several days. The staff treated us like royalty and were very kind and thankful that we were able to stay with him. The doctors listened to our concerns and gave us options for after-hospital care, and allowed us to make the final decisions. The food, particularly the Christmas meal, was pretty damn good for hospital food.

I have called numerous times trying to speak with a doctor or case worker and have struggled to get clear communication or answers regarding her care and discharge plan. I am extremely frustrated and deeply concerned about the decisions being made for my mother's health and safety. I am asking for someone in administration to contact me as soon as possible to address these concerns. If I can't get to them then I guess this OTHER one star review that I wrote will get them to CALL ME, At this point, I would not feel comfortable sending another loved one to this hospital because they will just send them anywhere to die ...

They told us that we my need to go to UAB or New Orleans to have the work done. I took him to Memorial in Biloxi. They had a surgeon look at it as soon as we walked in. If you have a injury and can make it to Biloxi don't waste your time at Singing River Pascagoula. Should be called a clinic Definitely not a Hospital.

Also, ty to Mr. Kyle Carter of Pafford for addressing the issues of outside contractors and hopefully hiring contractors who are accountable and clear on procedures. We hope that disciplinary action has been taken and recommend that all vehicles acquire reliable surveillance. As for the nurse volunteers that accompany patients, I would advise clearance before medication is administered or any harmful actions is taken. I gave this review one star so I was able to write a review or I would've given it a big fat ZERO…read more I brought my son to the ER ( 4/22/26) with what I believed was a ruptured eardrum that was bleeding( also blood in his nose) We waited the expected 31/2-4 hours ( no issues with that, this is the norm and they had some bad accidents come in via life flight) and was brought back to a room. His vitals had been checked in triage when we first arrived. The Dr. came in about 30 minutes later and I explained how he had no symptoms and from the time his ear began hurting to the rupture was 4 hours. She attempted to look in his ear and said she couldn't see because of the pooled blood and asked if I would like her to call an ENT office to see if they could see him . She called came back in the room and said they were going to call me to bring him in , wrote some antibiotics ear drops and sent us on our way. I didn't protest because frankly she seemed unnerved and nervous. I just find it baffling that if she couldn't SEE what the issue was that she wouldn't have images ordered, or anything at all. I don't know why I keep going to this hospital . They continually disappoint. If they aren't rude they lack care. This used to be the best hospital on the Coast. Now it's just trash.

On June 26, 2025 I presented to the Emergency Department with abdominal pain and was subsequently…read moreadmitted for emergency surgery, which was performed by Dr. Amy Scheller. I would just like to commend Dr. Scheller and her nurse practitioner, Heather Seymore for taking such good care of me. Dr. Scheller and her team were awesome and I would certainly consult her for any future needs that may arise. The entire surgery team is stellar. They made me feel like I mattered. And they have compassion and a wonderful bedside manner. My stay on the second floor was unfortunately not pleasant. The nurse practitioner had placed an NG tube and not long after she left the tube developed a kink. The nurse, Takyla was unable to get the tube straightened out, so she just left me like that all night. She never hooked up my leg compressions, nor did she hook my IV, I was left all night like that, dehydrating by the minute. No pain medication was ever offered and I didn't see that nurse again until the next morning. The only people who came in during the night were the techs to take my vitals and help me to the restroom. There was a very nice lady the next morning who offered to help me bathe if I wanted to. I didn't get her name, but she was very pleasant and seemed to know a bit about nursing. I was not going to complain, but the more I thought about it the more I felt compelled to write. I could have died that night and no one would have known it and I feel like they wouldn't care if I did. I felt like I was an imposition to the nursing staff and that they had other more important people to look after. I don't know if it's a cultural or societal clash. I just know I wanted to get out of there as soon as I could. And this is not the first time I have been a patient there on that floor. The nursing staff is just awful. And I've read the reviews online for SRHS and there are numerous complaints from people regarding the same things. In any case, it makes me not want to return there for treatment. And it appears that all of us patients' complaints are falling on deaf ears. I wish this could have been a more pleasant experience. But thank goodness for Dr. Scheller.

I only came in for a B12 shot and he's going on about how he thinks they are a placebo and that if he were my GP he'd have me tested for anemia and then goes on about since I menstrate it's probably anemia. For what little they did, even with BCBS insurance, it was a pricey visit and took too long.
