The staff was really great because we were meeting my mom and she got there early and they let her take her drink without paying and wait on us. This square Detroit style pizza actually really appealed to me and I tend to be a Chicago pizza snob so I'm glad I went in open minded. We tried two different pies and I would have them both again. We had the Detroit rob city and the Greek town!

I was immediately interested when I saw the mini wood-burning pizza oven on the back of the truck, so I decided to grab one for lunch. I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, and it was really good. The pizza was made fresh in the wood-fired oven with crispy pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, and basil. The crust was thin and crispy through the middle but still soft and fluffy around the edges, with just the right amount of char from the wood-fired oven. The pepperoni was nice and crispy, the mushrooms were cooked well, and the fresh basil was a great addition. I was really happy with my choice for lunch and would definitely order from Dio Santo again the next time they're at my workplace. They also had flatbreads and several other items on the menu, so next time I may have to try something other than the pizza. The service was also excellent. The person who took my order was friendly, and my pizza was ready in about 15 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. Hands down the best pizza I've ever had. Good job guys! Ordering and picking up was super easy. Staff was super friendly and patience. Not much of a sit down restaurant though. Best for takeout and here's the best part. I had a 20min drive back home and the pizza was still crispy. Not at all soggy and still pretty warm. Oh and they use those little things they put in the middle of the pizza box to avoid the pizza from sticking to the pizza top. I have not seen those in forever! Very cool that they use them. The first time, I also tried the Japanese Firecracker wings and the Honey wings. From what I remember, they were both excellent. I didn't see the Firecracker wings on the menu this time, so I went with the BBQ instead. While I still prefer the Firecracker and Honey flavors, the BBQ wings were good too. I especially like that Bella's wings are crispy, with the sauce serving as the perfect finishing touch. I dislike baked wings that are soft and soggy. Their pizza is simply sublime. It reminds me of a classic New York style pizza, with a crust that's crisp on the outside tender on the inside. I've never actually dined inside the restaurant, so I can't comment on the atmosphere, but I can certainly speak to their customer service. I ordered through Uber Eats and didn't see an option to add anchovies on the side. Bella's staff took the extra step to fulfill my request anyway and billed me accordingly. That kind of attention to detail goes a long way. Congratulations Bella Roma on 26 years!
