I am named as her Executor but I was not informed of crucial changes. One member on the will stole all her financial accounts, without the other two parties to the will notified. I am in possession of a check from HUD, which I can't deposit to my account in Florida without a Florida-approved statement certifying me as her representative. My bank needs this certification before they can open up an Estate in my mother's name. At the time of her death, I was told by a family member that there was no need and that there was no estate. That was a lie. She had a checking, a savings, and a home. The home has been settled. The money has not been accounted for. I need the "certificate" to open an estate for her in Florida to deposit this check. Resolution pending. It has been two years since her death.

Selected law firm at random to handle brother's estate - which was a HUGE mistake. While we did…read moreinterview law firm associate, process was significantly more expensive than our "all inclusive" quote and experienced multiple clerical and filing issues with simple details like addresses and names (received emails addressed to our deceased brother!) among others. Initial cost was $5000 - which had to be paid out of pocket, up front, and probably was a red flag we ignored. Got hit with another $2000 court fee that I don't remember hearing about, for a total cost of $7000 to file the 6-8 documents that the court required. At nearly $1000 per page of information - which we had to already provide, seems a steep cost for their efforts. Not only was this was a lengthy (over 18 month) and expensive endeavor dealing with the additional legal issues was very draining.

My wife and I needed an estate plan for our blended family. After using "fill-in the blank"…read moretemplates found on the Internet and those provided by Internet based companies, we decided to seek professional help - because we wanted to get it right. We talked to several high-priced law firms in the DC metro area. We met with the Arden Law Firm because of their reviews and flat-fee pricing. Cedulie explained in great detail the services they provided; what they needed from us; and what we could expect moving forward. She made us feel right at home and I felt very comfortable discussing our affairs with her. After our initial consultation, we met the other folks in the office. I was convinced they were the right firm for us because the price was right, and Cedulie and her staff were very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. A short time after our initial working session with Tanisha, we received our draft estate planning documents. A few minor changes were requested and incorporated into the documents. In our final meeting, we went page-by-page through every document. I appreciate Tanisha's professionalism and patience as she helped us though the legal mumbo jumbo and the pros and cons of certain choices, we were unsure of, which helped us make final decisions. It was a pleasure working with Tanisha and the other staff members. The final deliverable far exceeded my expectations. Documents were contained in a beautifully organized leather bound three-ring binder. Everything in the binder was professionally produced and labeled. Where needed most, clearly written directives and instructions were provided for us the grantors/initial trustees, and for our beneficiaries (successor trustees). I am completely satisfied with our "Estate Planning Portfolio." I highly recommend the Arden Law Firm. You would be wise to use them for your estate planning needs.

I don't know that very many attorneys would give so much advice over a phone call that they ultimately end up, not getting the client, but she put my needs above just making a dollar and I truly appreciated that. If you have any real estate related legal needs, I highly recommend you giving this law office a call. You will get exceptional service from a warm, knowledgeable, and very kind professional.

I was very clear with legal assistant, Alexandra Duca that I had NO desire for a new trust. It was implied that my Trust could be reviewed to determine if updates or modifications were needed. To schedule the consultation appointment there was a $400 non refundable fee paid in advance. Per Ms Duca's request I emailed my trust documents as a PDF to her office for Attorney Smith to review prior the Consultation. Ms Duca confirmed the trust had been received and would be reviewed prior to 2pm consultation with Attorney Smith. To my disappointment I was informed by Attorney Smith during the first few minutes of the consultation that she DOES NOT review ANY documents prepared by another attorney's office due to her liability risk. Attorney Smith's legal assistant should know the attorney's policy on this matter. Alexandra Duca knowingly indicated the trust documents would be reviewed to prepare for the consultation.
