There is an older gentleman who works here most days and evenings. He helps all the men who go in and won't help women even if the women have been standing there for a long time. This worker, who seems like the owner of the franchise due to how often he's there, will even open another register to help men who enter the store after women. When he does help women, he throws their change at them disrespectfully.
I've seen him do this to non-white women, which is strange because he himself is a non-white man. Maybe it's cultural, maybe it's racism, maybe it's misogyny, maybe it's a mix of this or something else. Whatever it is, it's distressing to witness and probably even worse to experience. I had to walk out and take my business elsewhere after witnessing this.
If you can help it, don't patronize this establishment. I saw a Quick Trip being built almost catty corner from this place on Tower near 56th. Go there instead and save yourself the unpleasant experience. read more
