I know! Isn't it disgusting. However, sick bag and flying fists aside, Nice 'n' Naughty isn't part of 'Melon Farmers' and does actually offer a lot for both men and women to enjoy in an equal way. Although its WELL tacky, it doesn't have a weird underbelly atmosphere of men perving at women, but for both sexes to be pervy at each other. SO, I guess I won't slate it like I want to slate the sexist disrespectful FOOL who came up with the name 'Melon Farmers'. Tsshh. Nice 'n' Naughty is a tacky little sex shop down Briggate that sells lingerie, sex toys, sex furniture, books and DVDs. Some of the photos on the website are actually hilarious, with one titled 'A first time for everything' and two women sat holding up a dildo with comedy surprise faces and hands spread out in shock. Imagine that photo shoot! Haha. Cringe-erific. (See second photo). They are winner of the European Erotic E line awards 2009, and so obviously do what they set out to do well. If you are looking to spice up your sex life and are adventurous, they have left no stone left unturned when it comes to sexual preferences and fantasies, and although sooo tacky, and really sleazey, they seem very professional. They also cater for all sexual preferences and are not discriminatory at all.

You can expect the whole gamut when it comes to undies, including varieties of pants that I didn't even know required a name, and bras of virtually every conceivable colour, shape, and style. (That's perhaps hyperbole, but there is a massive range.) I've been to another branch in the states a few times, but never found anything that inspired me to spend the whole fifty quid on a bra. This time, it was different. If you're not au fait with the whole deal, the best thing to do is to actually speak to one of the assistants. The two ladies who helped me were not only super friendly, but excellent in helping me navigate the overwhelming mass of garments before me. As well as beautifully crafted smalls, the shop also has a number of perfumes, make up, night wear, and other bits. The whole shop smells amazing, actually. And if you're in any doubt as to sizing, get measured -- I discovered I'd been shopping for the wrong size my entire adult life. (Which is probably something tons of women do.) It's worth noting, however, that here you'll likely be a size bigger than you thought, since it's an American brand so the sizing works differently. A lovely shop, with fantastic staff, but worth saving up for since the price tag ain't shy.

Can always find my size and love all the different colours and designs. I also like the Pink section, however some of there stuff is a bit of a mess as it's more the studenty young person section. I love all the underwear as it lasts really long and always have really pretty designs. A lot of the clothes can be a bit on the cheesy side, but I like some of the tops for the gym. I bought a new bikini this time which fits really well and is super pretty. Also treated myself to a gym top (they are made quite big so went for Xs and fits nicely), and a nightie from The main VS. This place is probably a bit more on the expensive side for underwear but it's so worth it. Maybe it is a good thing they don't have one in Scotland otherwise I would be there all the time!

I really do feel for any girls out there whose only option is to spend a vast amount purely due to their cup size requirements. Usually all you can hope for is B - E but we were seeing AAs to Gs, and beyond, all over the place! There was also a beautiful selection of night dresses, a lacy ruby red item caught my eye, some cosy looking dressing gowns and some delightful 'cyber jammies' pyjamas. My favourite nightwear item was a sort of 'boyfriend shirt' type night dress, which looked like it would be both comfy and sexy in that very casual kind of way. My girls are winched up beyond belief and the nagging ache in my lower back is already starting to ease. Bearing in mind I'm not a regular size, they actually had a bra in my size! Quite impressed by how matter of fact the fitting was, no embarrassment at all being topless in the fitting area. They have 15% off when you buy 4 and I did straight away. I was fitted by Karine, who was friendly, but the fitting itself crossed clear boundaries. A professional bra fitter should always ask for consent before touching breast tissue. That did not happen. There was no explanation of what she was about to do, and at one point she lifted my breast very close to an intimate area without asking and made a strange "popping" noise. I haven't had a fitting in years, but the lack of communication made the whole thing feel inappropriate and uncomfortable. I also felt pressured into buying a bra for £145, and on top of that, they tried to sell me a £500 bra scheme. Only afterwards did I discover the exact same bra was cheaper on the PrimaDonna website and available for around £70 from another online retailer. When I returned to discuss this, Sally refused to give me a refund. She also made it clear she doesn't like when people come in for the free fittings the shop advertises, and even told me she wanted to get me out of the shop quickly. Her attitude was extremely rude. She didn't seem to know how to use the card machine, and the way she spoke to me was unfriendly and dismissive -- I genuinely felt judged and looked down on. Between the uncomfortable fitting, the pressure to buy, the inflated pricing, and the unprofessional customer service, this was an awful experience. I would strongly advise others to approach with caution. I will not be returning.

There is an old-fashioned, celebratory feel on entering the family run local business. With bunting and fairy lights decorating the place, and an iconic washing line hanging from the ceiling displaying 50's style lingerie, it feels special. I can't speak highly enough of the pieces on sale. The faux fur coats and numerous jackets are absolutely stunning. I tried on a classic pilots waistcoat and jacket. There are beautiful eighties puffed sleeved dresses, glorious gorgeous full length coats - one in particular which was absolutely divine but sadly a size wrong for me. They also have some beautiful classy hats, gloves, scarves, shirts - you name it. It's hard to actually describe the amount of beauty within, you really must go and see it for yourself. I don't usually shop here for many of the clothes, being that I prefer a different style, but for accessories and shoes I love this place.
