While it's not a wonderful experience having a water leak you can't isolate, the entire process of having Michael come out to locate the leak was wonderful. A phone call got me an estimate of the price, which is based on the distance between the water meter and where it enters the house (the distance he'll need to investigate). The price was fair, if a bit steep, but well worth the investment and a fraction of the total repair costs in any case! I had some scheduling constraints and he was able to work within those and come at a time mutually convenient for both of us. He located the leak within about 45 minutes, clearly marked it, and at my request offered a referral to a company that would repair it -- 24 hours later the leak is fixed, exactly where he said it would be. I hope I don't have to have him come out again, but if I do end up with another water leak, this will be the first number I call. read more

I saw a spike in the water bill that led me to believe that there was a potential water leak somewhere. I searched for some obvious spots both indoor and outdoor but couldn't find anything. I ended up calling a local plumbing company "At Your Service" for help and they referred Simply Leak Detection service. I was able to arrange for Michael to come out for the inspection fairly quickly. When he arrived, he quickly went to work to find the leak in about an hour or so. Michael offered me to listen to his device for the water leak sound coming from the pipe (it sounded like air coming out from the water, like bubbling, which should have been quiet.) I scheduled plumbing service from "At Your Service" again for a repair and they found the water leak on the spot where Michael sprayed a giant "X" mark on it. The repair is done, called the public utility service for a leak adjustment, and I am very happy and impressed with Michael's service and knowledge from his years of experience. Be aware!!!! Generally, I wouldn't say I like to review, but I couldn't help to write this review. It's for the sake of others that are looking to hire Simply Leak. I don't even trust all the 5 stars reviews, they are deceiving. They came out here in May and charged us $500 for an inspection of a leak. Which we didn't mind paying but they totally missed diagnosed our irrigation system, and told us that there was no leak. Two months later, when we turned the sprinklers on, we discovered huge puddles of water under the deck which was accumulating from an irrigation leak. When I called them again, Mike didn't even hear me out or didn't want to admit it, instead, he kept telling me that it will be $450 to come out here again no matter what. I wouldn't hire these people, all they want to do is rip you off and don't care about service. read more

I received a letter from the water company that said we had a leak. I went and checked my water meter and the leak indicator was spinning fast. I checked all the fittings inside and outside the house. I went and turned off the water to the hot water heater, and the leak indicator slowed and almost stopped. I wasn't sure if it was the water heater and it need to be replaced or if the leak is from the line that runs after the water heater. Tim from I Need a Plumber got ahold of me. He did a phone consultation, then let me know that I should first get a leak detection person to come out first to help pinpoint where the leak was. I am so grateful that I called Mike regarding a leak in my incoming water line which is somewhere between the meter and my house... which are 800 feet apart! I had already been speaking with various leak detection and plumbing repair businesses and my head was spinning. After receiving an estimate to replace the entire incoming line...
