If you lose someone you love, I would highly recommend SFS. After my husband of 21 years passed…read morefrom cancer, I was stricken by shock and grief and they cared and helped me through the process. They were amazing. The location was very inviting, clean, and comfortable. All religious ceremonies and customs are welcomed. We had an evangelical Christian service. SFS helped us with an incredible, beyond wonderful pastor to assist us, as we attended a "mega-type" church and individual services can be difficult. Not for SFS. They truly go above and beyond. That "extra mile." Personal details; My husband passed at home, Thus we needed a home removal, which they completed lovingly, kindly, softly, and carefully. A lovely gold embroidered "cloak" was placed over my husband for anonymity. We never felt uncomfortable with them. The service was lovely. Personally, I asked for the release of doves to signify hope; no problem, and they made the arrangements. They took care of the INCREDIBLE, gorgeous flowers, which were VERY fairly priced, if not underpriced! They made ALL those arrangements for me. Further, during my husband's 1-hour viewing, Chris truly looked amazing and natural. He was beautifully groomed, and obviously very well cared for. Our death occurred during the birth of Covid. These people NEVER made us, nor our guests feel uncomfortable (at all!) during a pandemic. They kept us safe without being overly "clinical," if that makes sense. They also offer financing and other options, even working through insurance, or life insurance, if that is something you may need.

The makeup on my dad wasn't ideal. The facial makeup went well into his hairline, and onto his hair, and looked quite odd. My moms makeup was fine, but I did mention to Claudia ahead of time that I didn't want makeup on her hair. She agreed and said that my dad's makeup going into his hair wasn't great. Good follow-up from Claudia after the services. Nice professional presentation of the caskets and flowers.

Located this place while searching for a Cremation provider for my Father in Louisiana. Due to…read moreLouisiana laws, Cremations are very expensive. Due to my Father not having Life Insurance & his death being totally unexpected, we were far from ready for this. Either emotionally or financially. I began my interactions with this Company with AJ, by the time the Coroner was ready to release my Father. We contacted Heritage back to hear that AJ was forced out of State. The woman I spoke to got me over to Victoria who is the Office Manager & she was EXCEPTIONAL. Took care of my Father & my Family with such care, concern & pure professionalism. Victoria made it a point to keep in touch with me the whole way. In fact, she just texted me to advise me, my Father's cremains will be shipped in the morning. I read these reviews after the fact, but I was not worried. I was confident with the service Victoria provided. I really hope I never have to deal with this situation ever again but if I do, I will certainly be contacted Heritage again. Thank you Victoria, AJ & the entire staff of Heritage.

Thankful my mother is not in their "mitts". Steer clear of these scammers. AJ & Marsha shame on you both. How & why are they still deceiving people mourning their loved ones?

This review is a little overdue, but words can never fully capture what it means to lose someone…read moreone loved, and certainly no amount of time will allow one to forget what they meant to him or her. I lost my father on January 8th, 2016, and Ron as Swan Law Funeral Home in Colorado Springs was wonderful during this difficult time. He not only provided comfort, but helped do everything in his power to ensure the process wasn't too burdensome on our pocketbooks either. His help with obtaining the DD-214 my father needed to get military honors was instrumental and timely. His swift actions when I needed him are greatly appreciated for years to come. Going to a funeral home is not like going to the doctor, where you are nothing but a number and the level of care is insufficient. Going to a funeral home means this is a moment in one's life they will carry forward with them until they pass on as well. A bad funeral director is far worse than a bad cashier--the impact is too great. Ron had stayed with us, even when we ultimately decided to transfer the body to Chapel of Memories for the cremation, and provided tremendous support. Whenever I reached out, he was quick to respond, and take swift action, even after hours. For instance, he even stayed after the funeral home at closed so that I could pick up the urn, which turned out exactly the way I wanted it. He once responded to a text message I had sent to him at 8:30p, and for this I cannot say how grateful I am for his help in such a turbulent time. I may be young, but if I were to pass too early, I would want Ron, and Swan Law, to take care of my family and ensure I receive the proper services needed to finalize the life I lived as well.

Swan Law was professional from the start (mom pre-planned her funeral). After she passed, our family was treated very well. Communication was good; the decision-making was clear; and the day of the funeral was respectful and professional. Attendees of the funeral commented on the kindness and professionalism of the staff and the attention to detail. Would recommend.

The main shrine is a perfect setting for a good bye, and has the amenities: projector for slideshow, podium for speaking, microphone, chairs on stage and ample seating for all, open flat space, great lighting and sound, and control for songs on podium. The staff actively participated in running the service so family can focus on reflection and praise. Our coordinator Kam was taking our texts at odd hours for planning the funeral and responded promptly which was above and beyond considering all of the craziness of putting an event like this together.in a short time. He and his assistant and staff made every effort to provide what we needed. This is stellar service, and take it from me, a family in mourning, this is the catered attention and guidance required in a hard time. Kam and Co made it easy. We had several denominations and faiths come together to celebrate a life and all were comfortable. We have had two family funerals here because Shrine of Remembrance is there when you need them and they do a good job.

When I finally spoke to the owner, he said "Because you don't want to spend money" when I declined a service he offered because it wasn't what my father wanted. It was completely offensive. He finally had his son help me, and we were able to get things set up. A really bad impression at such a sad time. I didn't realize they were just in it for the money.
