My wife and I chose Something Better, of Perkasie, PA, to clean our townhome every two weeks. We're…read moregetting older and both have physical issues that make it more difficult to keep up with cleaning. The owner, Margaret, looked over our home and developed a cleaning plan for it. The first time Something Better cleaned the townhome, they missed three of the areas that I stressed to Margaret -- who explained that two were overlooked and one was skipped because they "ran out of time." The next time they cleaned, they again did not touch two of the items missed the first time. The excuse was again a lack of time -- the crew had worked 4.4 hours of the 4.5 Margaret estimated, even though I never set such a limit on cleaning our home, nor was I asked if the cleaning crew could stay longer. What disgusts me is that the two cleaning women did not work 4.4 or even 4.5 hours; they worked for exactly 4, which I timed on my iPhone. Had they worked to Margaret's estimate, they could have done everything they were supposed to do (or at least tried). When Margaret did not respond to my concerns or complaints, I canceled my service -- only to be told two weeks later that they were planning to arrive and clean. Margaret claimed she never got my cancelation and further claimed the time discrepancy was for "putting away the cleaning supplies," a task that supposedly took 24 minutes. A month later, I got an invoice in the mail... for 4.4 hours. Something Better should really be named "Something Less," because that's exactly what you get from them when you pay them to clean your home. You'll get plenty of excuses, but not what you paid to receive.

We wanted to make sure the house was pristine when we brought him home, and WOW did they deliver! Even though we were cutting it close, they were willing to work out their schedule to accommodate us in time, which was a real lifesaver because my son arrived almost two weeks early! We've continued with their service for about a year now, and they've been consistently wonderful, not only in terms of the quality of the clean but also in terms of the interpersonal engagements with Jenn, the owner, as well as her entire team. Our schedule sometimes calls for some extra flexibility, which Jenn's team is always able to accommodate, and no matter which members of the team end up on our schedule we know we're in good hands. Recently, Jenn and her partner Jerry came along on our cleaning as they orientating a couple recent additions to the team. From my home office, I could hear Jerry giving guidance and tips and was impressed with the little addition insights and touches that Top 2 Bottom brings to the process. Towards the end of the cleaning, I took the dogs for a walk and carried them up to a bathroom to dry their feet since I wanted to maintain the perfect clean. While I was toweling off their feet, my eye was drawn to the shower in a way you'd only see in a movie or a meme; it was mostly behind me, but out of the corner of my eye the shine of the clean struck me. It was such a simple thing but WOW it really blew me away how bright and clean the grout was. When I headed to the nursery, I found a great surprise which I snapped a photo of and was about to send to my wife when I realized I should let her discover it for herself. I had a work engagement that evening, and was en route when I got the call from my wife. Our son's Mickey and Minnie Mouse had been staged to look like they were reading together in the nursery chair.
