Jeanne is extremely knowledgeable about what is required to keep your books in "audit ready" form. As with any bookkeeping service, a cooperative client is key. Jeanne has a very high level of integrity, is down to earth in her approach to bookkeeping, and is fun to work with despite the rigors involved in what can be a daunting amount of detail and paperwork. Jeanne also hires staff that bring that "extra service" component to the business which I really appreciate. I have recommended Jeanne to several of my clients who are also very pleased with her services.

I worked with Virtual Jeannie for approximately three years while living in California. Initially,…read morethe experience was positive, but after my bookkeeping was delegated to another staff member, the quality of service and communication deteriorated significantly. I repeatedly explained that I have ADHD and dyslexia and that reviewing complicated spreadsheets filled with tiny numbers was extremely difficult for me. I asked numerous times for something very simple: the opportunity to sit down together, either in person or via video call with screen sharing, to review the books, answer questions, and clarify transactions. These requests were consistently ignored. Instead, I was repeatedly sent complicated spreadsheets and expected to work through everything myself. Every year, despite paying substantial fees for professional bookkeeping services, I found mistakes that required additional time and effort to identify and correct. Many of these errors could have been avoided through basic communication and collaboration. What I found particularly upsetting was the complete disregard for my repeatedly communicated difficulties with processing this kind of information. Rather than making a reasonable accommodation, they continued using an approach that simply did not work for me. Over time, I was made to feel as though I was the problem. Eventually, during a particularly difficult period for my business, I received a letter informing me that Virtual Jeannie was making changes to its operations. Although the letter did not explicitly say they were terminating me as a client, that was clearly how I understood it. I wrote back several times explaining that this was an especially difficult time to lose my bookkeeping support. I received no response. To make matters worse, I subsequently received another invoice for additional bookkeeping work. I have since moved my bookkeeping to MD Bookkeeping and Tax Preparation Services in Longmont, Colorado, and the difference has been night and day. Laura has taken the time to sit down with me, review my financial records together, answer questions, and work through numerous errors we discovered in the 2025 reports prepared by Virtual Jeannie. Cleaning up those mistakes has cost me additional money. What has been particularly eye-opening is discovering that the collaborative approach I had been requesting for years was entirely reasonable. My new bookkeeper has provided exactly that, without making me feel difficult or burdensome. After spending years and considerable money with Virtual Jeannie, I am left deeply disappointed by the lack of communication, attention to detail, and basic consideration for a client's needs. I cannot recommend this company, particularly to anyone who needs a bookkeeper willing to communicate, collaborate, and accommodate different ways of processing information.

We tried for 2 months to find a CPA that would do something really important: put us at ease and instill confidence that our tax return would be in good hands. We were just about to give up and file for an extension when a coworker recommended Summer Morris. I called her immediately, and upon talking to her I instantly knew that we had found that CPA. She was extremely professional, and her wealth of knowledge and experience was obvious. We set up a time on the spot and she gave us access to a secure portal where we could upload all of our documents in advance of our meeting. I really prefer that method, and it made our meeting go quickly and efficiently. In person, she is extremely pleasant to work with. She addressed any questions we had and did some rough calculations on the spot to estimate our tax liability...which put my wife and I very much at ease. On our short drive home, she had already emailed us some additional thoughts about our taxes; a rare level of service to get during tax season. Any time that I contacted her she immediately responded, regardless of whether or not it was outside of business hours. When we got our final return back from her, everything was absolutely perfect. I looked at every detail and could not find any errors whatsoever. There were many different forms and additional work done to lower our tax liability that I would never thought of or known about. Her knowledge and experience saved us a significant amount of money. We used a CPA team back in Los Angeles for many years, whom we were happy with at the time. After having just worked with Summer Morris, I realize now that our old CPA was not so great after all. It was a real pleasure to work with her, and the whole process was so easy, affordable and worry free. We were lucky to have found Summer, and will be going back to her every year from now on, no doubt about that.
