I can't help that my house is older, that a smaller person wasn't available to get into the tight space, or the fact it happened on a Friday. The "finished" job was shoddy, and will be fixed by someone else. After the last employee "cleaned up" we picked up drink bottles, supplies, and rocks through the basement. If you don't mind unprofessional, vulgar language and attitudes and having to fix things and clean up, then this may be your solution, but we will not be calling again. I would have rated two stars for how fast they came, but the fact that he told me over and over that he was marking this as an emergency. Just so unprofessional.

While there, we tried to discuss another issue with our plumbing. We were concerned with our kitchen and bathroom sink as our kitchen sink was not draining. They apparently took a look and said that there was absolutely nothing wrong, and gave us a quote of $600 just for the leak in the crawlspace. After they left, I discussed with my husband and then decided to give them a call back. They confirmed with me over the phone that there was nothing wrong with my kitchen and bathroom sink... Despite it still not draining. I was going to go with them until they made a comment about they would only work on my house as long as it did not smell of marijuana (we're not even smokers). Ironic, as the man that was out to my house reeked of cigarettes. I decided to cancel my Scheduling to get some more quotes. I got two more quotes to be exact. Both of the other quotes that I got, confirmed there was something wrong with my kitchen and bathroom sink. Their quotes were obviously higher than Dotson heating and plumbing because they were charging me for a major fix that Dotson heating and plumbing overlooked. Overall, I'm so glad I chose not to go with them. The lady I spoke with over the phone was very polite. But they're overall manner and insult on my house and my husband was extremely rude. I have not had my fireplace swept/cleaned or had any maintenance performed since I moved here several years ago. I certainly do not know when that was done by the previous owners. I decided it would be a good thing to do so as I had used my main fire place quite extensively last winter and I wanted to be ready for this one. Finding a chimney sweep is a lot harder than I thought. Not a lot of businesses do it, and getting a hold of one was a pain as there were many people wanting them chimneys swept. I asked a friend of mine in the area who he would recommend and he said Showcase. I called them and they gave me an appointment. I was away on a business trip when they came to service my home and so dealt with my family. According to my family, they took some time as my fireplaces had a lot of soot/debris and needed a serious cleaning. The staff were courteous throughout. On September 8 a lightening storm took our 100 year old tree down on our home leaving us with a huge hole and water in living areas. I called roofers and Steve showed up buttoned down the 2 areas. I didn't see him leave as I was dealing with tree removers. I requested estimates from several companies and went with Buckeye other businesses could not do the job of a full roof replacement til December. Buckeye had the crew and put me on his list for October. His crew came and set up equipment and was ready by the 7:30 appointment time. The crew of 8 worked tirelessly for the day with only taking 1/2 hour break for lunch. I was impressed with how hard they worked, never stopping til they finished. It was a big job on a large 2 story home with addition. They had there system down to a science and left no debris of any kind behind. On top of all they were a pleasant and friendly crew.
