Specialties

When you join Simplicity Credit Union, you become a member-owner of your local financial cooperative. You have an equal voice. You benefit from lower fees and loan rates. And you can rest easy knowing we're doing our best to make your community a better place. Because your community is our community.

History

Established in 1949.

A lot has changed since our credit union opened in 1949. Back then, gas was 17 cents per gallon, minimum wage was 70 cents per hour, and the average home price was just under $7,500. One thing that hasn't changed is our commitment to our members. Over the last 67 years, our membership has grown and so have we. We have continuously adapted to the needs of our members first, and success has followed. But we can do more. We started here in Marshfield back in 1949, in the basement of St. John's Church. Our vault was a shoe box filled with $322.25 from our first 13 members to make small loans to families in need. In 1951 St. John's Credit Union became Central Catholic Credit Union to serve a larger membership. In 1977, we found a cooperative partner and together changed our name to Central City Credit Union to serve an even larger field of membership. We ended this last year serving 23,799 members with assets topping $225 million.
