I have 6 account with them had my mortgage and its loan. I did like simplicity until I had to move to care for my dying father when my settlement check came. now I am in Michigan trying to settle the estate and need to deposit $41k into my account and you have no other way for a deposit that to mail an enforced check and wait for you to decide to deposit it if it doesn't get lost or stolen. you got rid of shared banking and mobile deposit is limited to 5k. you claim its because of fraud, bullshit. my family and I have worked in the banking field for over 30 years and this is wrong. you are trying to lie and give me a line of bull. I do not recommend simplicity credit union to anyone after this. no loans, accounts or anything you don't help us you just find a reason to lie and screw us over. read more

I dread doing any sort of business with this bank. Always hands down the worst customer service, it doesn't matter who you deal with in the drive through lines, they are guaranteed to be rude and in no hurry to get you on with your day. I had a deposit take 14 minutes today, as I waited for my ID and never got a receipt. Was asked after 10 minutes where I wanted my money deposited. I let them know I was in a rush and was told to bear with them as multiple cars were served in and out while I sat and waited. I wish I could say this is the first instance but its taken many rude instances to even download yelp to write this review. Its been a long time coming but I have switched banks and already was way more impressed with Forward Financial, as they had much more welcoming staff and a less stuck up culture of business read more

Anyone notice that today, February 17, 2025, Simplicity Credit Union is closed due to "ALL STAFF TRAINING". There has not been a vehicle in the parking lot from morning till now-closing time. Hope the training went well. read more

The People very welcoming and friendly. During the time they were changing systems the staff was very accommodating to customers.

They with held my money costing me an over draft fee and now they refuse to refund me for holding my money on the phone the lady was very rude saying it wasn't her fault. when I only got fee for simplicity holding my money and after trying to explain this over and over again she was not trying to understand or fix any part of the situation. read more

I applied for a WHEDA loan through Simplicity, and the process was anything but! After filling out the initial paperwork, I was sent a contract for my contractors to fill out. I've never in my life had a lender require ME to fill out their paperwork! And my loan officer, Hannah H, wasn't terribly helpful. For one thing, she was only in the office 2-3 days per week. When WHEDA (allegedly) sent my paperwork back, only then was I informed about specific regulations. When the contract was sent back for the 6th time due to incorrect math, I asked Hannah to double-check my numbers to no avail. When she finally helped, WHEDA rejected her numbers as well, but I digress. When Hannah left the company and Angela H took over, she finally double checked my numbers and found Hannah's were wrong! I'm not the mathiest person alive obviously, but one would think a banker had more numeric acumen! I finally withdrew the WHEDA application as being just too much trouble than even sweet terms were worth! Oy vey! Never again! read more

I've been with Simplicity for 10 years (going back to the days of Central City Credit Union). I've had too many technical issues with their online banking and mobile app and have concerns with security. I've seen very little improvement with their service over the years. The only improvement I've seen is the facelift all branches received when Simplicity took over but I rarely visit a branch in person. I am still a member of Simplicity but my frustrations continue to grow. It is only a matter of time before I move on from them. I do not recommend Simplicity Credit Union. read more

I moved out of state and I'm so happy that Simplicity Credit Union still has my back. I started with Nicole and the Branch Manager Michelle actually stepped in to follow through with helping me get financing for my son's car. I was getting no help for the shared branch I usually go to with a hard NO NO NO. That is what made Simplicity's customer service shine even brighter. They didn't skimp on security but were able to get my son the payment for the car he needed. I don't know I'd move back to Wisconsin but I'll never close my account with Simplicity. :) read more

I moved from out of state to the local area, and was in need of a van for the wife and kids. We had saved up a significant down payment but was turned away at the dealer by all lenders mainly because we had no "established residency." So we were referred to Simplicity. While there we discussed how we are new to the area but had a down payment, showed them our rental lease and incomes and was able to get approved for the van, we also established banking there and a FlexLine account to help build our credit some more. Being able to sit down and speak to a person and explain our situation and receive the help we needed as a new family from out of state made a huge impact on us and will have us banking here as long as were in the area. read more

It seems like Simplicity has more problems when switching from Central City. There site is down constantly, their cards wont work, bank accounts are messed up. I would not suggest this Credit Union to anyone. read more

I love the write up about their history and how it is trying to drum up nostalgia and a sense of community. The Simplicity Credit Union of today does not resemble St. John's Credit Union (or even the Central City Credit Union of 4 years ago) in any way shape or form. I'm from the community, worked for Central City Credit Union at one point (when service still meant something), and was forced to switch credit unions about 3 years ago. I used to go out of my way to drive to Marshfield (about 45 minutes) to do my banking at the brick and mortar but no longer. The reason for my rant is the recent online issues. There have been problems along the way but because of old ties I decided to bite my lip. Today I tried to make an online credit card payment...system is down, please call xxx-xxx-xxxx to make a phone payment. When I call the specified number it tells me to call the actual credit union number because the phone based payment system is down. When I call the credit union number I am told I cannot make a payment using this route because their system is down. I am told to come in and make a payment or mail in a check. Now if I can come in to make a payment why can't they make a payment for me over the phone. Problems occur every once in a while...I get it, no worries, but the issues have piled up and piled up in recent memory. Then the service is there little problems don't matter. When the service fades little problems are now huge issues. It should be Simplicity Bank...they haven't been a credit union for some time... read more
