Simple Tax Solutions was founded in San Diego by Lorena Edith Jimenez, EA, with a clear purpose: make taxes less stressful for the people and businesses in her community.
After earning her Enrolled Agent credential from the U.S. Department of Treasury, Lorena saw how many small business owners and families struggled with taxes - not because they lacked effort, but because they lacked the right guidance. She built Simple Tax Solutions to change that.
Over 20 years later, many of our original clients still trust us with their returns. What started as tax preparation has grown into a full-service firm offering bookkeeping, payroll, corporate formations, and IRS representation. But the foundation has never changed: every client deserves more than a completed return. They deserve understanding, guidance, and peace of mind.

Lorena Edith Jimenez, EA, is the founder and lead Enrolled Agent at Simple Tax Solutions. Licensed by the U.S. Department of Treasury, she is authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS nationwide.
Lorena has spent over 20 years helping San Diego individuals, families, and small business owners navigate complex tax situations - from straightforward personal returns to multi-year unfiled business taxes, corporate formations, and IRS audits.
She understands the unique challenges facing local small businesses and bilingual families. Her guiding principle: every client deserves clarity, confidence, and someone in their corner.
When she is not helping clients, Lorena stays current on federal and state tax law changes to ensure her advice is always accurate and up to date.
Supporting Lorena is Vanessa Jimenez, Executive Assistant, Notary Public, and licensed Life Insurance Representative, who brings over 10 years of service experience.
