So, I had called simple cremations location on Durango and Tropicana and was never told I needed an appointment to have some of my brothers ashes added to some keepsakes and I called the day of just to make sure they weren't going to be at lunch and was told I had to make and appointment...strange I told her since I had talked to the other person (Sara was the name I think?) and she NEVER mentioned an appointment! I told her it's a drive for me coming from Henderson and advised to try this location...the young guy that answered the phone was such a sweetheart and very kind advising we could come in the same day since he has some openings and once my niece got there with her Daddy's urn the guy was so sweet asking for our loved ones name and took the keepsakes and the urn to fill the em. He returns a short while to tell us the urn was sealed (oh no) we didn't even think to try and open it but, did some research and it's not uncommon to do, so we are back to square one and hopefully we can contact the original funeral home to see if they can unseal it for us or to lead us into the right direction. Simple Cremations has always been amazing, I went to the location off Rancho when my grandmother passed and they handled everything beautifully and could not be more thankful, no one wants to deal with losing a loved one but, this place is the best to use when that time comes...thank you again for the kind hospitality of the young guy that helped us. read more

Well, we weren't dying to get in... Too soon... OK. So a loved one passed away yesterday and being a part of Hospice, the center body over to the good people of simple creation. So early this morning, they gave us a call, and we set up an appointment for later in the day. When we arrived, we were seated in an almost like meeting room with all kinds of urns scattered about on different bookcases and shelves. Laura went over everything in great detail and answered all our questions. What I really liked was that she presented options, but was not pushy in anyway. I gotta say I feel that their pricing was very good. How often do you need a service like this and when the time comes do you know everything you need to do to take care of closing down accounts, etc. etc. They really helped with the transition and feel better about everything after going. They do only work by appointments. We will see if they make all their timelines as far as us getting our death certificates and the ashes of our loved one but as smooth as everything has been up to this point, I gotta think there will be no problems on the backend. They are located in Henderson near Water Street on Lake Mead Parkway. Easy access and easy transition. read more

My husband paased recently while hospitalized. I picked Simple Cremation on Lake Mead since I had to make a quick choice. Hector and Laura were both very kind and professional. You do need an appointment which wasn't a problem. They even filled necklaces and a small urn which I bought on Amazon for no additional charge when I pickup up the remains. I was given a list of cremation places by the hospital when my mom passed and I made my way down the list calling and that's how I found Simple Cremation. The initial phone call was warming and I decided we would work with them. They called the very next day to let me know they had my mom and she was in good care and the 2nd day we had a meeting with Dawn. She was so kind and informative abt all of the options we had . We were able to pick out beautiful keepsakes to hold our mother in. Dawn made a sad experience so relaxing and never tried to sell us on anything we didn't want. I went here with my sister in law in January 2021. So very nice and upfront and forthcoming about everything. Answered every question and gave us time to decide what we wanted to do. Awesome people. They even had an urn that was unusual that we loved for her husband. No pressure to buy anything either. They didn't say you have to purchase Thai or that. It was a great experience considering the circumstances . We do wish we could have had a viewing. However , that was per the Clark County Medical examiner. OH GOSH! First, I am truly sorry for your loss! NEXT, what you need to know is just move on to another provider. If you want the gory details you can read, but you can trust me. This is not the time in your life where you want to hire the wrong people for the job. These are the wrong people for the job. From beginning to maybe the end (not sure as we still do not have the ashes) it has been a NIGHTMARE. Not the time in your life when you want more pain. I tried to do some pre-planning for this time. When I did my research these folks were great and recommended by others. I put them down for future reference. When the day came, this is who was called. They sat with my loved one in the fridge for an ENTIRE WEEK without a single phone call. They claim that they did not have the correct contact number. When I did get in touch with them, NOBODY called me back. Yet another day passes with nothing being done. It is already a bad time in your life, you don't need these folks to make it worse. My wife passed away at ProCare Hospice Jan 18 2022. I had them contact Simple Cremation and the attendant was there in 45 minutes. The Simple Cremation attendant explained the entire procedure. I received a call the next day and made an appointment. Ms Laura Mclaughlin was extremely helpful in filling out the necessary paper work. As my wifes final wishes was to donate her body. Life Science accepted her body for donation. Her cremated remains was returned to Simple Cremation and they called me for pickup. They made everything a lot easier in a very stressful time. Went out to the Henderson office to arrange for a simple prepaid cremation. I had gone through this process a couple of years ago with my dad so had all the paperwork I needed to get it done. Simple arrangements ie no viewing, no service, no urn, shipping of the ashes out of state for scattering. The whole process of arranging would not have taken more than about 20 min same as last time. Well.....don't bother to go to simple cremations unless you have an appointment. They apparently only have one person now for all of Las Vegas who can arrange for a prepaid cremation! What a waste of time. Why do they even have more than one office if they can only talk to you if you have an appointment. I don't need the upsell. Save yourself some time and go to another provider. read more

If it was possible to give less than one star I would. This place came to pick up my dad after he had passed. They sent one guy! One guy was supposed to carry my dad to the gurney?! Due to the room position, he was unable to bring the gurney next to my dad's bed. So when I asked, "How are you going to get my dad on here?" He replied, "I'm going to put him on the floor and drag him to the gurney." Shocked doesn't even begin to describe how I felt when he said this to me. Like HELL you're going to put my dad on the floor and drag him. I helped this insensitive jerk carry my dad from his bed to the gurney. Take it from me...NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! read more

The lady that we talked to, on the phone. The night our mom died, was very helpful. Had the person there to pick up our mom there on time. The next day, they called to set up an time to make the arrangements. Very helpful on that. Did not push on any up sell. Said it normal takes around 2 weeks, took almost 3 and an half weeks. Doctor drag his feet filling out the death certificate. But once they had it. They had it done in an couple of days. They kept in contract with us every other day. read more

Terrible experience. Listed wrong date of death on death certificate causing Social Security to freeze bank account. Then needed to be pushed very hard to make correct, which took two months. Then did not provide the burial container needed for the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery they promised. read more

The location for Simple Cremation was not the one listed on Lake Mead in Henderson. The location that helped me through this difficult time was the one on Lake Mead. It was a completely different experience than the reviews listed. They were responsive, caring, compassionate and helpful. I would have liked a shorter time for the actual cremation but realize that governmental and bureaucratic restrictions (e.g., permits & related paperwork) are in place and must be adhered to, which doesn't let families get closure sooner than at least two wks. Personal requests were honored and staff met each request with accommodation. (When there was a problem getting the urn ordered due to its unavailability I was given an upgraded urn as a substitution without additional cost.) Two staff members that went above and beyond were Emilee and Zack. Thanks to each of them. In conclusion, I would recommend Simple Cremation to whomever is looking for direct cremation (& I might also mention that they were recommended to me by someone who had used them before) so because of the foregoing info I recommend Simple Cremation as noted above. read more
