We have been going to Barbara for at least ten years. We have been going to her every year like clockwork to do taxes for my business, my husband's business, and our personal. This year we called her office early in the year to file our taxes as usual. They told us to wait. They said they weren't due until October because of the time extension due to the storm disaster relief. So we waited per their instructions, even though we were ready for her to do them. We dropped them off before the 15th of September at her office thinking they have a month to prepare. They called back after they had been dropped off and told us Barbara cannot do our taxes because we aren't on her "list." I asked, What this "list" I have never heard of? She kept repeating that we are not on the "list" so they are not going to do our taxes. And, by the way, "your corporate taxes are due tomorrow, but Barbara isn't going to do them because you aren't on the 'list.'" We waited this late to file because they told us to. We never file late. Now she will not do our personal, nor corporate taxes because we are not on some "list." Very unprofessional. We have followed up with phone calls and messages, Crickets! read more

Rude when trying to clarify questions about payroll at a previous office I worked at. Charged my employer for the time she took replying to me when I tried explaining that they ultimately stole money out of multiple employees paychecks because Barbara didnt understand HER job, yet made me feel like an incompetent employee who didnt understand my payroll deductions. My employer ended up owing 3+ employees over 2k each because of Barbara's mistake. I never once got an apology. The office has since moved on to a reputable payroll company. read more

Her office lost my w2, and filed our taxes. Later we ended up owing a large amount of money to the IRS. She charged my partner and me 450 to file taxes and then 300 to correct changes. Needless to say she was rude when it came to questions. This is an unfortunate experience and I hope that it does not happen to anyone else. read more
