Without this firm's talented legal team my ex probably could have taken advantage of ambiguous wording and non-expiring provisions. Though I agreed to this expertly composed and reasonably thorough contract without my own legal representation, it turned out to be as good or better than I could have done had I chosen to spend my own money (which I didn't have at the time) to let a handful of competing family law attorneys churn and burn our accounts while we argued over teacups and drapes. He passed all my cases off to his Of Counsel, Jeff Basso, esq. Who is overwhelmed and weak in his representation style. He rarely speaks up to any judge or opposing counsel and accomplishes little to nothing. Unprepared, he would often email the night before detailing a next day court appearance. When I complained, Patrick McCormick started getting involved again but he was not up to date on all details and it was like having new representation. Do not be enticed by lower hourly rates than other mid sized law firms, because they more than make up for it in aggressive billing and a lot of "research and Philosophy" that requires a real looking over! Do not use!

I…read moreconstantly had to correct things in the documents they had generated, he had such terrible notes and follow up - We would spend an entire appointment discussing an issue, and when I received the revised document, the issue would not even be mentioned! At the end, he made a verbal agreement with me to charge my ex for the attorney fees, per the court document, but he stated his concern that the fees would not get paid, so he asked ME to pay the fees upfront, and promised that he would relentlessly go after my ex to get the money which would then be turned over to me. I discovered about a month later that my ex had paid half of the fee. After multiple calls to the office, I finally received a check for that amount. When I pressed them about the second half of the fee, I was told that Dean was "tired" of pursuing it. Of course, I had already paid the entire fee! And when I called him on it, he suddenly became very nasty, and threatened that if I attempted to file a complaint against him, I would end up looking ridiculous. This really really soured me, because I trusted him implicitly. I know I was stupid to agree to pay the fee upfront, but he had acted very kind and sympathetic WHILE he was getting his money from me
