I actually lucked up on securing this firm's representation in a slip and fall accident.( I was referred to them). Most conveniently , all correspondence can be accessed and signed online, the whole entire team is very responsive to all your needs and questions, and the lines of communication are always open. Your dedicated attorney lets you know where your case is within the legal process. I have to mention a few names in particular that became my points of contact at the firm ( and best friends there) Emily, Angela , and my Superhero in a suit Chad. I trusted a referral from Morgan and Morgan.....huge mistake. After 6 months I received an email saying they are dropping my case. Unfortunately I had already hired them when i began to suspect the shady business practices. I would call my caseworker, which by the way was the phone number on their website, and he would answer directly without any phone intro "This is Simon and Simon....." Shady Then 5 months in a rep from their medical dept called and wanted me to switch to another doctor for a special lumbar treatment. It was a sales call basically. Shady When I decided to stick with my doctors, started asking questions and wanted answers I was dropped in a week. Simon and Simon just needed to do there job as a lawyer but they didn't. Tell me I'm in the top 10 percent for high payout then tell me we will get 115k 3 yrs later I get pressured into verbally agreeing to a 38k settlement. Then I get a enforcement paperwork to sign because I felt something wasn't adding up since pre trial then after being pressured into verbally agreeing i was checking my options until I got enforcement paperwork to sign 1st set of settlement paperwork. I stumbled on to something and had them check to see if something could be done well when I got a response I got the report from the insurance company with all the communication and settlement offers that my lawyer discussed. For 5 months my lawyer never responded to insurance company request for my medical records then there was a offer that I was never told about and got declined then a counter offer that I never gave concent for her to do. After reading that I was not going to sign the release of payment because of Simon and Simon and their lawyer broke the rules witch they must communicate all settlement offers with the client and can not except , make a counter offer or declined a offer without clients approval. I filed a complaint with the disciplinary board and looking to file legal malpractice. I sent demand letter stating all the miss conduct and rules that was broken. I get a email back from Marc Simon pretty much threatening me if I dont sign paperwork then they will file enforcement again. He never even touched on anything about what happened. So now I got enforcement paperwork and awaiting hearing there is a recording missing in the transcript where i stopped it and the 2nd recording is only on paper so can't hear the tone of my voice. I tried to get a lawyer for this but no one will take it I was told by one it isn't worth the money for them to take it it has to be 300k or more. That proves lawyers are only in to get money not to actually help people that's prof right there i would have thought with as many law firms i reached out to at least one would help and not just for there gain like I said I guess it doesn't matter what law firm it is they are in it for the money not for you. Im still taking this as far i can go. Simon and Simon did wrong and need to take accountability for it. So if your case is within 2 years request from the other insurance company the report with all the communication with them and your lawyer at the time. With all the reviews simular to my case I bet there are offers that you did not know about if there is report it to the pa bar association. If there is enough complaints there will be a big investigation that will go on and if we get together possibly get a class action suit going against them read more

Once bitten, twice shy. I contacted an injury law firm and they referred me to Simon & Simon. My fault for being stressed and in pain when I made the decision to sign with Simon & Simon. Once signed up, you enter the labyrinth of legal steps to gather information, and the lack of communication increases. Rarely did I receive any communication that was not asked for by me in a call or an email to the paralegals who handled the case. The paralegal once called me to tell me that they had set up a medical appointment with a surgeon at a location and practice that seemed shady at the least and downright hazardous to even consider. They were appalled that I would not agree to go there. We asked our attorney to visit our home to see what significance my injury was to our lifestyle in a semi-rural community where we were responsible for more maintenance than the ordinary suburban subdivision. We explained that this injury limited my ability to work in our business. We wanted to demonstrate the lifestyle challenges and economic hardship we faced after the auto accident. This understanding did not come across to the attorney as we did not see her at our home. We asked that our attorney depose the police officer that filed the police report for there were items on the report that were extremely relevant to our case. We were told that it was not necessary. We had full tort insurance coverage and our attorney assured us that, with long term medical needs for my injury exceeding 300K, that Under Insured Motorist coverage would be the next step. After the settlement, we found out that this was not possible in Pennsylvania. And as to the final settlement, everyone made more that I did. We even paid a finder's fee to the referring initial attorney we contacted--out of our settlement!. Beware with that practice of referring to another firm!! My car was totaled after the rear-end collision and we cannot afford to buy another vehicle of similar safety let alone pay for any more medical procedures due to the negligence of the other driver.. I could go on, but in summary, they are in it for the money. The accident victim is not really a person, but a commodity to make money from. read more

Liars and rip-off scammers. Incompetent lawyers. I had called Morgan & Morgan who in July 2018 were not even licensed to do business in Massachusetts. They farmed me out to this law firm. I googled them but could not find any reviews. A paralegal came out the very next day to have me sign the contract on her small tablet, so I could not actually read what I was signing. And once I had signed, it was all downhill from there. - They wanted me to go to places they seem to contract with. The first one was Comeback Physical Therapy in Worcester which is run by Chinese and a brown hole in an old building. I took one look and got out of there. I called Simon and Simon and told them that I got injured for real and need doctors to actually HELP me, not just help them make money. That if they didn't agree to that the deal was off. They seemed surprised that anyone would actually want to get better but agreed with the stipulation that I would keep them updated. I need to add that a tailgater crashed into me on the highway. He spun my car like a whirly-gig. My car was a total wreck with the frame bent, right rear tire was bent sideways and outwards with the gas tank sitting on top of the tire. The car was a total loss. As for me, I sustained spine injuries, my right shoulder was injured, and both thumbs had the tendons ripped clear off. It took a year to find a surgeon good and daring enough to tackle fusing nine vertebrae during two days in the OR at MGH.. My actual medical bills were close to a million dollars. What Simon & Simon withheld from me is that they do not go for pain and suffering, nor do they look into assets by the guilty party. They strictly go for the liability coverage of the guilty party's car insurance. In my case, he was insured for $50,000, and that is all his insurance paid. 40% of that went to the lawyers, the rest to my insurance, and they contacted me and demanded that I contact them immediately and establish a repayment plan or they will stop all future payments and take me to court. Let me remind you that I was totally innocent and that he crashed into me from behind. He got a surcharge and went on vacation. I spent the first year in insane pain, then had to go through the high risk surgeries, seven months of recovery without any help cleaning the house which I was not allowed to do, and not one penny for pain and suffering. I spent a total of 182 days in hand splints because both thumbs had to be fused when reattaching the tendons failed. After two years of severe shoulder pain the biceps finally detached and needed to be surgically reattached. The insane ffffstress caused multiple ulcers and severe acid reflux which destroyed decades of dental work. We had to spend about $25,000 in dental bills just so I can eat since my teeth rotted out underneath expensive caps one after the other no matter how much I brushed and flossed. All total we suffered damages for about $70,000. Someone please explain to me how this is justice. I will be in pain until the day I die, I have a ton of hardware and steel rods in my body that restrict movement, so now I have to go for a pedicure which costs $50 plus tip every time just to get my toe nails trimmed and the calluses removed because I can't reach my feet with all the steel in my spine. It took over 4 years to get the dismal settlement which did not benefit me. I never even saw it, it went straight to Simon & Simon. They took the easy way out and threw me by the wayside. Morgan & Morgan received $9,000 of the $50,000 just for making one phone call to Simon & Simon. That is how that law firm got rich, for farming clients out to substandard law firms who need the business. Do yourself a favor and stay away from both of them. They are ambulance chasers, nothing more. They do not care one iota about their clients, they only want to do the absolute minimum for the maximum payout. You will end up getting zero money, and if you have real medical bills, you will be required to repay your insurance since these are third party bills and they can't go after the perpetrator thanks to this ridiculous NoFault law in Massachusetts which has car insurances laughing all the way to the bank. Any five star reviews were clearly written by people who suffered minimal injuries which were blown up to cash in the maximum amount. I met some of them. I called Top dog law because of his numerous bill boards and pandering to the black community.(HUGE MISTAKE) I was redirected to Simon & Simon because they were too busy. At first everything was going well. Great communication, regular follow ups, they took care of everything. The problems started to arise when I told them that I didn't want invasive procedures done. I couldn't get in touch with anyone after a while a was no longer receiving updates. They could give a darn about what's actually wrong with you or your concerns. The more money making potential a client has is what matters to them. After a year of physical therapy and a buttload of other activities I WAS DROPPED BY THE FIRM???? I got a random letter after not hearing back for months basically telling me to kindly piss off with no explanation. I was in a car accident and thought I should get an attorney I knew the car accident wasn't my fault so I called Simon and Simon I didn't have a recommendation from anybody I basically took a stab in the dark and It paid off. Mr. Costello was completely professional above board he made sure I was compensated for any medical procedures I needed in the future and also got me something for pain and suffering his assistant Sarah kept me informed of any appointments anything I needed she even got me car service when my car was in the shop to get me to a medical appointment. I went threw a run around of attorneys ,I ended up dealing with my insurance company myself as the law firm was having extreme difficulty paying outstanding medical bills ?.Needless to say very frustrating. They assigned me three different attorneys. I was scheduled for court twice. always took for ever to return calls. We finally settled in March 2021 .(September I got a check for under 10K Wicked messed up.
