I am filing this complaint regarding gross negligence and lack of communication by Vargo Tax…read moreService. I dropped off my tax documents before the IRS deadline, expecting timely processing. Without informing me, the business filed an extension the same day I submitted my return. Since then, communication has been nonexistent. In May, I followed their voicemail instructions and left a concise message. I received no response. In June, I attempted to call again but was met with a message that their voicemail had not been set up. In July, I physically went to their office (during posted hours) and encountered three other individuals also concerned that their taxes were missing or never filed. We are unable to check our IRS refund status because we have no documentation or confirmation about what was submitted--if anything. Additionally, my 82-year-old grandmother, who also used this service and usually owes taxes, has received no communication or confirmation that an extension was filed on her behalf. We demand: Immediate written confirmation of the filing status for both myself and my grandmother Any documentation submitted to the IRS on our behalf An explanation for the communication breakdown Assurance that this matter will be resolved urgently to avoid further harm This situation has caused serious anxiety and confusion, especially for elderly clients. I respectfully request that the BBB investigate this business for potential negligence and failure to uphold basic professional standards.

I dropped off my tax information and was told it would be a week or so until my taxes would be completed. I then e mailed the owner 2 pieces of addition information as he requested that were needed for my taxes. After almost 2 weeks I received no response to my e mails and when I contacted the business my call was not returned or the voicemail was full and I could not leave a message. Since I was getting no where just waiting around I went in to see what was going on. At this point it was almost 3 weeks since I dropped off my tax information and come to find that the taxes were not even started. The owner was very arrogant and always has an excuse for why he can't return calls or why his voicemail is full. I guess you get what you pay for and cheap is not always better. I will never use or trust this company with my taxes.
