Consistently good food! Salads and enchiladas are yummy! Service is great. Ambiance is decent.

Service is a bit slow but very fitting for the atmosphere. Joking and chatter can be heard from the bar while family's also enjoy the evening in the dining area. Waitstaff was very friendly. Menu has a vast variety of choices. The Buffalo chicken dip was a solid 8/10 the corn chips weren't my favorite but the bread with it was great. The wings were a solid 10/10 the Bundy flavor was a sweet and spicy combination, the texture of the wings was amazing with a very good crunch to them. Would highly recommend. read more

Food is very good, portions for the price aren't the most budget friendly but depending on what you order you're probably not going to leave hungry for $40. Friendly staff and nice ambiance. Bar and dining area could be a bit more separated for the kids. read more

Good drink selection, good menu (slightly expensive but what isn't these days). Service could be faster but you're at a "sit down" place so don't complain about speed. Overall a good local pub. read more

We were very disappointed in the Simcoe Arms. We are relatively new to the area and wanted to try it. I ordered Tuscan chicken, without olives. When it arrived however it not only was missing the olives, but also the Portabello mushrooms and they added goat cheese and spinach. After discussing with the waitress, they confirmed ingredients were wrong. New menu, kitchen staff not trained properly, etc. They apologized but only removed the chicken, leaving me with the sides, which of course were cold by the time I received a new plate of chicken. The waitress stopped back to explain she told the owner and he would talk to the kitchen staff. Plate #2 comes and is also wrong. Gone were the spinach and goat cheese (not in the menu), but the mushrooms were still missing. The waitress came by again and asked if I got the mushrooms and I said no. A couple minutes later the other waitress stops by and drops off a bowl with some regular mushrooms, not Portabello. No apology, no mention they aren't the right type, just dropped them on the table and left so I could add them to my plate I guess. Time for the bill, where they felt taking $5 off my $18 meal was sufficient compensation, despite the fact I never received the meal ordered as per the menu. And I got an apology again for their error, saying I was the guinea pig. Nice. I paid the bill, then told the waitress that while I understand mistakes happen, how they deal with it matters. They have lost two local customers without a doubt. She explained a $5 discount was her maximum authorized amount. I told her the owner knew about the issue and should have addressed it if he knew she couldn't comp the meal. Or she should have approached him, but I blame the owner really I didn't go in expecting a free meal, but don't think they should charge when they can't get it right. Very disappointing experience. My husband ordered meatloaf which was decent but lacking spices and rather bland. read more

This place is awesome! Their menu is large and full of variety. I always have a tough time deciding what I want to eat because everything looks and sounds so good. You'll find things on the menu from Pad Thai and curry to burgers and pizzas. Their panzerotti are worth the money with the size you get. The service is great and it seems to always he busy so making a reservation is a good idea. The atmosphere is very casual and great for families. I've been here 3 times already and will visit everytime I am in the Simcoe area. read more

This pub has great atmosphere and creative offerings such as the spicy mushroom and rice soup of the day I had with my Lake Erie Perch crispy Po'Boy. I wish there was a little less drippy mayonnaise on my Po'Boy but other than that, pretty good. The mushroom and rice soup is unlike any I've tasted before and came with plenty of mushrooms. My oldest girl ordered Steak Pie with mashed potatoes and it actually came with its own gravy boat! My youngest enjoyed a hearty spaghetti and meatballs and hubby got Bangers and Mash. This is a decent pub if you are driving through Simcoe. read more

Fantastic "pub food". The wings are amazing and the wraps are huge! Lots of good local beer on tap.

This was our favourite place for Friday supper. Things have changed. Fish dinner was cool, as were the fries. For the first time in my life I asked to have the food set back to the kitchen (fish) to be warmed and then it came crispy critters. Inedible. I Left 75% of my meal behind and was given a full credit on the meal! All of this effectively ruined my evening leaving hungry and pissed off. I will not be returning any time soon. There were signs of business stress and I wonder how long these guys may be open! There were significant fewer people there than other nights, however the serving staff were extremely stressed with the work load. read more

I want to leave a better rating but this place is so hit and miss and inconsistent that it's just not possible to go higher than 3. I've had 1-star experiences and 5-star experiences so I figured 3-stars was fair. This place is nice. Very cozy, very well laid out, very welcoming. I'd go so far as to say it's the nicest pub in town. Heck, maybe even the nicest pub in Norfolk. Now the inconsistency part..... There's always just one thing wrong when I go here. And I've been here many many times. One time the service will suck, one time the beer is flat, one time your order is wrong, one time it takes way too long to get your food, one time your food straight up is not good and so on. It's these falters that keep The Arms from being at the top of my go-to list as I'm always wary of what the glitch will be with each visit. But having said that, the food and service and overall experience are generally good and it's certainly worth a visit. read more

Having had dinner at The Simcoe Arms, I can say that they have an incredible menu. We ordered bruschetta, fish and chips, and potato skins. Everything was expertly prepared and I would recommend them to a friend. The serving staff was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere overall was pleasant. The drink list was fairly modern and extensive, and all facilities were clean. I would most definitely return to this restaurant. read more

Ate there for the first time and probably will not be returning. Ordered pizza and wings. While the wings were average the pizza was sub par. We didn't order thin crust but it was cooked to the point that it was beyond crispy and almost to the burnt stage. Asked for light sauce and it looked like the exact opposite of that. It's a pretty good restaurant for Simcoe. Went last night for a birthday dinner and the service was friendly and quick! The food -I find- is hit or miss depending on what you order. The fish and chips are excellent as is the bruschetta appetizer. Other items are more bland and not as good. If the restaurant is busy, be prepared to wait longer. Also if you are going for your birthday, they do allow cakes to be brought in and they serve it to you and sing. Overall it's a great restaurant and one the better places to go in Simcoe!! read more

The menu was very good. Lots of selection. The food was very good as well. The service was between medium and "not too bad". The atmosphere was around an 8, for a smaller venue. The dining side has a variety of tables, including three 6-seater booths. There is also a bar at the other end. Overall, I'd rate this restaurant a 4 out of 5. read more

This place makes the best pizza in Norfolk! Plus, the burgers and sweet potato fries are amazing too. The service is quick, even when all the tables are full. We don't go here nearly enough, but we'll be back for pizza soon! read more

The food here is amazing. Always receive large portions and it tastes great. The only problem is it can be a little pricey and service can be a downer. From being left to sit and wait for 30 minutes, to being ignored while waitresses have conversations amongst themselves. They never tell you how/where to pay your bill. We have to approach them and request to pay,once they give out your takeaway boxes they leave you alone untill you approach them to pay. This has happened the last three times I visited. However the kitchen does a great job and it's one of the best restaurants in Simcoe so I will continue to be a customer read more
