Wanted indoor parking because we were staying for multiple nights and didn't want the car outside.

She was super nice and it was easy. Heads up they only take cash, but there is an ATM on site. Not cramped and easy to park.

Ask the Community - Simba Parking

Traveling to Old Port Maine. Want to be able to go in and out of this parking garage, can you do that?

Unfortunately the only ones in the city that will do that is hotels if you have a hotel room. We offer $20 all day but once you leave the lot the tag we give you is void. You'd need to buy a new to enter again.

Old Port

Park Naked Parked…read morehere while visiting DT Portland as it was downtown adjacent and we don't mind walking. The Good: *As stated above, it was a good location near the heart of DT Portland and everything was just a short 5-10min walk away. *Up front pricing (this will be evident why this is important later) *We liked the design of the panic garage, as it was easy and hassle-free, unlike a lot of these modern garages that are waaayyyyyy too complicated for their own good. The Meh: *$5/hr w/ a max of $50/all-day. While not terrible, there were cheaper parking garages around but it is what it is. Fwiw, these prices are more expensive than parking in SF, so put that in your pipe and smoke it. The Ugly: *We have friends in the area, and they warned us of "predatory parking garages" that don't state their prices before entering. So, if you don't see a price then do not enter or prepare to pay the consequences. Conclusion: Not the worst place to park, but there's better options.

Parking at this location is predatory at best. Upon entering the garage, there is no signage…read moreindicating any such hourly or flat rate for parking. I parked here for 9 hours and paid $45- this is a Boston rate in a city far smaller. The garage was nowhere near full, but if the price were displayed prior to entering, business would likely drop off from the few that park here. There's ample parking nearby, so why not lower the rate to keep it competitive? If you set a day rate of $20/day I would think there would be far more business than presently. Recommendations: -Be transparent and display your rates BEFORE people enter. Failing to do so is a predatory tactic. -Lower your rates so people would actually park here, especially if you plan to display rates. The garage is 7 levels and most of them are empty during peak morning hours. -Consider a day/flat rate pricing. -If you are going for hourly, tell me what amount it caps at if at all.

Eat, Drink, & Be Ferry…read more Ferry service that charters passengers from Portland harbor to one of numerous inhabited islands just off the coast. We chartered a Ferry ride to Peak's Island on a crisp early Autumn day. The Good: *You can load your car on the Ferry *Nice boat with a top view *Staff was friendly enough *Fairly inexpensive at $14/adult & $7/child for round-trip ticket. *They also do scenic boat tours, as well as the Ferry service. Check their website for dates and times. The Meh: *Peak season pricing on autos that can go from Off-Peak Season price of $70-100 (depending on vehicle size) to $150-170 for Peak Season price. The Ugly: *Make sure to plan your day accordingly with the boat schedule. You don't want to get stuck on an island there without a reservation. Conclusion: Even if you just go out to the island and back, it's still worth the $14 of entertainment riding across the ocean.

The website is very user friendly so I knew what time and the rate I was expecting to pay. The rate was very reasonable. The company was very easy to locate. The waiting area was very clean, vending machines along with washrooms. The announcements for the ferry was very clear. The company will first load the vehicles including trucks then passengers. I was amazed how many vehicles can fit on the ferry. It seems to have plenty of space available for passengers. On the return trip, same thing, first the vehicles and then passengers. Within 15 - 20 minutes, you are back to the dock. Great company to head to one of the islands.
