We were able to get beautiful earrings for a special occasion that I will always cherish and remember. It was reasonably priced and made by Native Americans in New Mexico, love it! read more

Silverton Minerals Gifts - Beautiful jewelry - Gemstones & Minerals Near Me - Silverton, Colorado

I have never wanted to give a "negative" review until now! So disappointed in the way I was treated!! I am a very fair and understanding person, but this time was a first for me. I have been shopping everywhere, even overseas bargaining, never has this happened to me!! Shopping in the Silverton Mineral & Gifts, I fell in love with a pendant, heart shaped to be specific (for the owner who reads this) the PRICE WAS MARKED ON A TAG ON THE BACK! and i thought it was beautiful!! Unfortunately, i did not purchase it at that time, because the rest of my group wanted to eat first shop later. I came back later to purchase the pendant, and the sales person took it to the back and returned to me and said, "i cannot sale it to you at this price", SHE THEN RAISED THE PRICE $50.00.... I politely asked her if that was fair and she said she had no choice "that is what the owner told her what to do" and tried to show me (and sale) a smaller one! I was dumbfounded and speechless! Instead of apologizing that she made a mistake, which the PRICE WAS MARKED ON A TAG ON THE BACK of the pendant, and sell it to me, she stood fast! I walked away, without the purchase..I always thought that "priced as marked" and "stand behind your product".. BUYER BE AWARE.. when you look in the jewelry case, they will change the price on you.. This shop will never get my business, nor will I bring my houseguest or visitors here! read more

Great store for gems / rocks/ minerals and other good souvenirs! We also got petrified wood here.

The man working was very rude and charged me $100.00 over the charge amount. My total was 32.02 and he charged my credit card $132.02. If you purchase anything from this store I would suggest only using cash if he doesn't chase you away with his crude manner. read more

A huge thank you to Silverton Minerals Gift! My son and daughter in law purchased a mug for me in this shop. I loved it. I accidentally broke it. When I reached out to the shop to see if I could order another one and have it shipped to me in AZ without hesitation it was done. I received the item quickly. This took extra time and effort for the shop owner to get it to me. I love it and had my coffee in it today. Thanks again! Bonnie Austin Vail,AZ read more

Great shop, great owner, great merch! The owner was very accommodating! My 3 year old grandson had to test drive a few little cars before choosing the one he wanted. The owner was very kind and patient, but he could tell we were keeping a good eye on my grandson. The negative reviews likely say more about the reviewer than this shop. This is a great shop with great souvenirs!! Thank you for adding to our trip Silverton Minerals and Gifts! read more

Silverton Minerals Gifts - Great sweatshirt from Silverton Minerals and Gifts! - Gemstones & Minerals Near Me - Silverton, Colorado

This shop has some of the best prices on minerals that I've ever seen. The owner explained that they're able to do so because they own the building and don't have to pay for rent. They were happy to answer our questions about what each mineral was and whether or not they were local. read more

The owner took down a necklace for me that I was looking at. He quoted me $55. I told him I would go have lunch and think about it. When we came back, there was a $65 price tag on it and he said "sorry, I must have misquoted you. I said 55 but it should be $65." Because we were on our honeymoon, my husband paid the 65 and we left but we are shocked at this guy.... who does that?! That was super unethical. He should have honored what he quoted me! read more

Wonderful gift shop on the Main Street. Kind and friendly shopkeepers. Had exactly what we needed as a souvenir and warmth on the way home as the weather had turned. I would definitely pop in again!!! read more

Walking thru the store with my wife and 2 kids ages 7 and 9 while on vacation. We are always very respectful of being careful with our kids in stores and were staying close to them to make sure they did not touch anything they should not be touching. My son stopped to look at a toy gun which had a label that said "try me",so he pulled the trigger, like any 9 year old would. They women at the counter immediately said very rudely, "can I help you"? And asked him not to pull the trigger on the gun, because he might "use it up". She was very irritated that a kid actually tried a toy gun to see what it sounded like. Mind you he was not running around the store with it and didn't even pick it up. It was on a shelf near the floor and he just bent down to try it. I know when kids are being bad and am the first to yell at them, and my kids were like not being bad, they were happy kids on vacation looking for a souvenir, so I said "lets go" to my wife and "we don't need to shop at a store where people are rude.". The Clerk(or owner?) said she had been in Silverton her whole life and did not need us in her store. She said "bye bye" and waved in my face very aggressively. Not exactly the kind of welcome that you would like to see in a tourist town... Great people in Colorado and in the Telluride/Silverton region, but this lady clearly has had enough of tourists and needs to consider a job where she doesn't have to deal with people. If you find yourself in Silverton, CO find another shop to visit and give your money to that actually likes tourists and children. read more

The selection was nice but the owner was very rude and suspicious. She yelled at my kids not touch the toys abruptly and rudely. They are 11 and 14 years and respectful of goods...and have money to spend. Another couple over heard this and told me she was in a bad mood yesterday too which tells me she is like this often and needs to can it or get out of the business. Do not shop here. Her mother was lovely. But they are clearly suspicious of people as they watch and follow you closely. I told her off prior to exiting. She says she tells all kids this and I said "how will anyone know if they want to buy it if they don't touch it" and her mother mouthed to me "I am sorry". She does not deserve your business because she does not respect her customers. I will tell everyone I know not to go there. read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. The owner (Larry I believe) was rude from the get-go. We walked around the shop for a few minutes before I realized he had been staring and following us the entire time, watching to see if we took anything I assume. It made me feel uneasy, but that wasn't what set me off... My little sister (8 years old!!) had picked up a little dog stuffed animal when we first walked in and pulled the typical child begging for a toy, so naturally she carried it with her throughout the store hoping we'd change our mind. She must have given up, though, because she set it down somewhere. I was gonna buy something, but the owner walked up to my little sister and asked "Where's that dog you had?" At first I thought maybe, JUST MAYBE this man was gonna be kind and maybe give her (us) a good deal on the stuffed animal because maybe he felt bad for her. But that didn't happen. He started walking around the store looking for it and told my little sister to go find it. We realized what was happening so we urged her to just go find it so we can prove to this POS that our 8 year old didn't steal a $7 stuffed animal...really?! I felt bad for his wife because she was clearly embarrassed. I feel bad that she has to deal with that guy every day. Needless to say, I didn't buy the stuff I was planning on buying because of what happened. There are BETTER, more affordable gift shops with owners that don't harass little girls. read more

This is a good souvenir shop in Silverton. You can buy many gifts for your friends and family here. I came here last year and bought some stuff. I recommend this to any tourists who are taking the train to Silverton. Every other review on here is a 1 star because of the lady who works here but she didn't seem to bother me at all. read more

The women working here got on to my 3 year old son when he touched a toy. She then told us to leave when I said that her actions were inappropriate. The women was extremely rude and I will never go in this store again. read more

I walked into this shop with my family and friend (12 years old). My friend picked up a cane because he thought it was cool. He used it walking around the store to see what it was like. Shortly after he picked it up, the woman behind the counter noticed. She came over and rudely said to him, "is that our cane?" Before he could answer she added, "do you need that?" He had enough time to answer no before she took the cane from him and muttered "that's what I thought." My mom told us we should leave. As we were passing through the doorway, she called after us. "Look!" She said, holding up a broken cane. "Someone already broke one!" My mom told her that my friend didn't break her cane and she promised to write her a review on yelp. If you are ever in the area, I strongly suggest you avoid this store and save yourself and your family a truly aggravating experience. read more

Avoid like the plague! Worker was rude and made my 3 year old cry twice when we were there on vacation on 7/2/14. My child was just looking at a pillow and then children's book, and this mean lady grabs the pillow and puts it back. Then she says if we were buying the book because she can't sell it it looks worn. Sheez!!! Not a family friendly establishment. read more

This is the store in Silverton where you can find jewelry actually made from native stone and made IN Silverton by a talented artist. I bought a hummingbird pendant this year. If you want something genuine and not junk, try this shop. The person who waited on us was very friendly and nice and concerned that we traveled over from Lake City until we told her we were in an enclosed jeep. Many accidents in ATV's and several lives lost this year! read more
