I'm sure when the owner is home, their dogs go out during the day. Leaving dogs alone all day outside, any professional that cares will not agree with that. Drowning in the pool, owls, hawks, coyotes, theft, heatstroke, digging out, snakes, alligators. She has elder parents with walking issues and pretty old (heart attacks too) so I brought the new pup (1year) to him.
