We highly recommend Daniel for any occasion! He made our wedding day even more wonderful and the dance floor didn't stop. We hired him after he DJ'd our friend's wedding and really liked his style. He is so kind, thoughtful, and really takes the time to get to know you. We gave Daniel a handful of songs we wanted to play for cocktail hour, dinner, and dance party, and he built the playlists from our vibe. We still keep getting so many compliments about how amazing the music was. (Shoutout to Talking Heads and Blink-182 multiple tracks!) I took maybe one break from dancing, every song was so fun and what we wanted to hear! It was so memorable and we will cherish every second of it. Music is a big part of our life and Daniel truly made our big day so special. (Also add his photo booth, we are so glad to have all these group photos and videos!) Thanks again, Daniel! read more

Silver State DJ - Best Wedding DJ! - DJs Near Me - Reno, Nevada

I'll be honest when I think of a DJ, a lot of times my experience has been the same old music...and typical "wedding DJ". This isn't it. As an MC, his timing was immaculate and the transitions were smooth keeping everything flowing. Nothing ever started or stopped abruptly. Daniel played the kind of music that got people dancing from the very beginning. There wasn't that awkward silence where a lot of music was played, and people hesitated to get on the floor. It happened seamlessly. The music was more like being in a club and not cliche reliant on songs like YMCA, Macarena etc. He made an enjoyable night even more enjoyable. read more

Daniel was great from the get-go! He is timely in his responses, attentive to your music tastes and requests, and offers multiple packages to fit whatever budget you might have! He uses a comprehensive form to get all the details about your wedding and musical wants and needs, which I thought was very professional and brought reassurance to my husband and I that Daniel cared and would do a great job! He also took requests, which was definitely great so that all guests had a fun night! Also, he left a card in our card box thanking us, which was extremely thoughtful and kind! 10/10 recommended Silver State DJ! read more

Close to the airport and Super friendly staff. They have Fast Pickup & Fast Drop off. The equipment was in great condition.

Dan absolutely KILLED it with the music at our wedding and may have been my favorite person bringing the fun that night (aside from the groom of course). He was really accommodating with my list of song requests, not to mention the ones our friends made during our reception, and all of our guests had the best time. Dan is organized, laid back and terrific to work with! If we have another event in the Tahoe area, we'd hire him and his sweet new equipment set-up in a heartbeat! read more

Dan at Silver State DJ is awesome! He DJ'd our son's UNR graduation party June of 2024, and every single guest (from 14 to 86) danced the whole time until we shut the restaurant down. Dan is professional to work with and keeps the focus on the guests without any unnecessary banter. And Dan went above and beyond to accommodate special requests from guests even though I had not asked him beforehand. All our guests said it was the best party they had attended in a long time. I highly recommend Dan at Silver State DJ for any event you are planning. read more

This DJ makes you want to get a divorce the next morning so that you can quickly get re-married and have him come back again! Dan was absolutely amazing at our wedding. He was flexible, responsive and stress free. He came up with a set list that not only matched our personalities and taste in music but brought everyone out to the dance floor. His lighting and props were top notch and he was all anyone could talk about at breakfast the next morning. I'm not much of a dancer (my new bride is the one in the relationship blessed with rhythm) but I don't think I sat down once the entire time he performed. It was like going to your favorite concert surrounded by all of your best friends. If you're fortunate enough to book him you will feel exactly the same as we did. read more

We had the honor of having Dan DJ our wedding. And let me tell you, he knocked it out of the park! He played the perfect mix of music for our crowd and had people dancing all night long (which was one of our biggest asks). I had multiple people say it was the most fun wedding they'd ever been to, and Dan played a huge part in making that happen. He was so accommodating with everything we asked for. He made the planning process painless and was easy to work with. Dan is a true professional! I would hire him again and again, and you should too! Best DJ we could've asked for on our big day. read more

DJ Dan is the best! We hired him to DJ our grand opening and for his incredible Photo Booth. He was super easy to book and very responsive. He showed up early, stayed late, and kept the vibes up! Also, his Photo Booth with custom border with our company name was the cherry on top! I highly recommend him! read more

Dan Rooney was the DJ for our wedding this last summer. He took so much quality time with us prior to our wedding day. He made really valid recommendations that we adopted for the day-of. Everyone at our wedding kept walking up to us asking if "we chose our playlist" because it was amazing! We didn't, we let him choose and roll with his instincts and really paid off. We were to so pleased with his ability to read our crowd. I would recommend him to anyone- honestly! Thank you, Dan!! read more

We had Daniel from Silver State DJ our wedding in North Lake Tahoe and he was amazing. We were able to connect with him before and discuss the vibe and the energy we were going for and he was immediately on the same level. He brought that exact same energy to the reception and delivered the best party of our lives! :) read more

Hands down best dj in the biz. Highly recommend this man from wedding to high school proms. Capable of any and all situation.

He did our wedding, he was 3-star. his audio equipment was helpful.

Dan came in to save the day with our wedding. Our DJ canceled on us 30 days before our wedding and Dan was there to pick up the pieces. He was a joy to work with throughout the whole planning process and responsive to all communication and kept in touch all the way until the wedding day. The day of was absolutely perfect! Every song was played right on time and the music throughout the night was perfect! There was not a single time where the crowd was not dancing! Thank you again Dan for saving our day and making our wedding so much fun! read more

Dan was just the right guy for our event. We hosted a celebration of our wedding in South Lake at the BaseCamp Hotel a few weeks back. He was on time, professional and played a variety of music we requested plus other songs that everyone loved. We had guests from 3-93 and everyone was having a great time! We didn't ask that he be a master of ceremony as we just wanted music but he jumped in and helped get folks dancing and introduce us. Much appreciated! We had a few folks give speeches and his equipment was perfect. He even stayed an extra THREE hours and played late into the night. Thanks Dan for helping make a fantastic evening! read more

We hired Dan at silver state DJ to host and MC our wedding in Lake Tahoe and he was AMAZING. We had three separate areas within our venue that need equipment and Dan provided everything. WE had a mix of people at our wedding and you never quite know what to expect from a wedding party, but Dan seemed to play the right thing at the right time and kept the party up and moving all night. You only book a DJ once and no one really has experience, but I would recommend Dan in a heartbeat. He even sent me a funny video and picture that he took at our event. Great guy, great DJ! read more

Daniel was great to work with! We had our wedding at the Corner Barn in Graeagle CA, coming from Oregon it was a little stressful finding a DJ not being from the area. We come from a community where your word and a handshake mean more than anything. I met Daniel before our wedding on a March Madness trip to Reno for a few beers and to talk about the wedding, and our style. Not many people would be willing to do this, but once we had a few and shook hands I knew we were in good care. Daniel knew the venue and had a perfect set up. Daniel played great songs (our country songs, and the wedding favorites) that catered to our crowd and handled the must needs (Toasts, first dance, ect..) with ease. We would Highly recommend Silver State DJ! read more

I have hired Dan at Silver State DJ on multiple occasions. Being a promoter and DJ myself I am very selective when it comes to choosing talent. I wouldn't hesitate to book Dan again because he knows exactly the right music for the occasion at hand. Whether it's a packed night-club, a private party, a wedding or ski resort event, you can trust that Mr. Dan Rooney is the right man for the job! read more

We used Silver State Dj to play music and Mc at our wedding in Tahoe. We wanted our music to be different from the normal top 40's type music popular at many weddings. Dan went beyond our expectations and showed artistry with his ability to Dj. All our guest (young and old) enjoyed the music and it truly made the party. He can really do anything when it comes to making music with turn tables. I have recommended silver state Dj, to all of my friends who need a Dj, and everyone has been happy. Now I recommend him to you. Thank you silver state Dj service for helping our wedding to be spectacular. read more

I used Silver State DJ for both my son's wedding and my husband's 60th birthday party. Both of these big events happened in the same year! Daniel was a pleasure to work with and was very patient with all of my questions. Both events turned out wonderful and they wouldn't have been near as good without Silver State DJ. He was fantastic! Dan worked with the crowd and had everybody out dancing and having fun. He interacts with the crowd so well and has everyone smiling. Everyone from the toddlers to the grandparents loved him. Highly recommended!!! read more

I've worked with Dan a number of times, (sharing DJ duties, etc) at different gigs around Tahoe and Reno. I also dj weddings and have attended 2 weddings Dan has supplied service for. He's a great DJ but also understands what a bride and groom expect at their wedding for a perfect day. He's comfortable on the mic and communicates properly and professionally to the wedding guests when and as needed. When I have a schedule conflict, Silver State is the first company I recommend. read more

We are so happy we booked Daniel with "Silver State" to DJ our Wedding! He really took the time to get to know us on a personal level and fill our special day with all the music we love. He created a beautiful backdrop to everything we did. From the ceremony to easy going dinner music, all our important dance songs, and ended with a night party no one will ever forget! He always got back to us in a timely manor if we had any questions, and made us feel relieved knowing he had everything under control. We would definitely recommend hiring Silver State DJ for anything you want people to remember! read more

My wife and I hired Silver State DJ to MC and DJ for our 190 person wedding reception. We can't say enough about Dan and his ablity to please. We were fortunate to book him during a weekend that he didn't already have an event going on. He had a playlist ready to go a week before the event so that we could review it and that was very important to us. He was also able to get a sound system set up that would make festivals jealous. Due to the lack of power at the venue, this was a huge challenge. He has it all and we were very satisfied with our descision to hire him and our guests would all say the same. I would highly reccomend Silver State DJ for your wedding or private event! -Matt read more

I hired Silver State Dj over two years ago to accompany me on a monthly event at one of Reno's most popular Neighborhood bars. I chose Dan because he is versatile, can deliver a dance party like no other, and can change course and mix it up when the crowd is appearing tough to reach. He values quality of sound, has extensive knowledge about all things related to lighting, sound hook up, troubleshooting, etc. and is incomparable. I would not personally be standing in the shoes I am today if it were not for his loyalty, his consistency, and his willingness and eagerness to make music happen. I continue to refer Silver State DJ to many functions, because he is truly the best one around. We still hold down our monthly event, and he continues to introduce me to incredible people and very talented people in the industry. He has an amazing network of resources. No job is too big or too small for this amazing guy. Get him on your books! read more
