My son has autism and he's 13 and we only go to the Silver star skate center for birthday parties. My son dose not know how to Rollerskate so he prefers to play in the kids play area, My son was yelled at by the owner his employees and parents because he is tall and so they believe he was going to Break their equipment and parents had a problem because of him being to old for the play area, I tried to explain he has autism that he did not or would not do anything to any of their equipment or to the smaller children - all he wanted to do was go through the jungle gym maze! We had got to the point of a verbal fight. Made my son cry. The place advertises a menu but hardly has any of it available. The arcade is a joke... read more

We put around $12.50 in quarters in the wonder wheel machine, only to realize that some staff member that will not be named took all of our 1,100+ tickets that we spent around 15 minutes on. That isnt even the worst part. It was unplugged before, and we thought that some kid unplugged it, unbeknownst to us that the manager unplugged it before. You can still come here, it's a fun experience but I do not recommend the arcade. read more

This place is a joke. Granddaughter went skating there today someone stole her iPhone. Her sister has a iPhone app locator thing on her phone and it showed the phone was still in the building. Owner would not help them look for the phone nor would he even turn the music off for 2 minutes so the could call the phone and hear it. What a big joke. I wouldn't recommend this pace to anyone. My class went on a field trip this Friday (the day before spring break). They had no food, but we overall had a pretty good experience. This is where it got weird. Towards the end of the class trip, kids who collected tickets from the arcade, turned them in for prizes. The gentlemen at the front (who seems to be the owner) was getting very stressed out because a lot of kids were crowding around to turn in their tickets. -Understood. He gave a young girl the wrong amount of change and when she approached him and asked for her correct amount back (even counting the money to show him) he very abruptly said "in the case i hand you a incorrect amount of change, you should just stand here instead of run off." He was very stressed out, so I didn't worry about it. Once she had collected her change and left, he collected me and my friends tickets. He "mumbled" under his breath "witch". HE CALLED A LITTLE GIRL A WITCH (and quite frankly, didn't try to hide it. I think this is completely unnecessary and extraordinarily rude. *We will not be coming back.* read more

I took my kids to this skating rink for an after noon of fun. We arrived to a molding smell coming from God knows where and the bathrooms smelling like the sewer was backing up. There was no food at the snack bar there were kids using the the skate floor as a gymnastics rinks with no skates on the music was all country. We will never go there again and suggest no one else does either. We only stayed 30 minutes because my kids couldn't handle the smell. read more

I want to give a big shout out to Silver Star Skating Rink! After the horrible happenings this morning with Suite Dreams hotel the skating rink was super accommodating and got everything set up for us to have the party at the last minute and treated us like we had the reservation for a month. It was awesome and I would definitely suggest them for anyone else! read more

Attended a birthday party at Silver Skate this will was my first and last experiance. Seems like a very outdated place but the area for little kids is nice except there were was to many older kids playing in there. Thought that what you get for the party pack was a joke seems very overpriced. Several older kids made a boy cry and management did not say or do anything. I will defiantly spend my money somewhere else next time where there is more of a family friendly atmosphere and not so many unsupervised teens. read more

For Roller Skaters that are very serious about their skating, and love to skate on Maple Floors, the Silver Star Skating Rink Floor, is by far the very best Maple Floor, within 130 Miles of where We live. The Management of the rink seems to believe that the Birthday Parties, held at the rink, during Public Skating Sessions, are the core for the skating rinks survival financially. Any serious Roller Skater, who skates at this rink, will pay for this thinking by the Management dearly. The Candy wrapping Paper, parts of lost Toys, some of which are sold at the rink, and the total lack of any Rink Rules being enforced at the Skating Rink, will cause a serious Roller Skater, to be sitting on the Floor, because of hitting the Crap on the Floor, (Or) be hit by a Person on Roller Skates, who will skate in any direction they choose to travel around the rink. Even though the Maple Floor is still an excellent Floor, there are Gouge Marks being put on the Floor, from In-Line Skates, that are (Not Safe) for Indoor skating rink floors. I've seen Three Maple Floors totally ruined by Gouge Marks, from In-Line skates. And the (Still Beautiful) Silver Star Skating Rink Floor, is going to be the Fourth Maple Floor to be ruined, and (Nobody) seems to be worried about this at all. read more
