Extremely poor support and no care at all. You have to hire very expensive, private "helpers" that have very little caregiving experience (at a high hourly rate) because there is no one else to care or assist your elderly relative. The place is dirty with flies coming up the pipes into the resident rooms. The elevators are frequently broken which is a terrifying fire risk. Management is out for the money and absolutely heartless when it comes to the residents. There are very few activities and the place is very small and very limited due to its location. Just a horrible, sad experience that we are relieved is finally over. Stay a million miles away from The Atrium of Boca Raton, this is a 100 percent factual and true review. It should be shut down for many violations that have repeatedly been reported to the regulatory bodies.

For my mother it was a rollercoaster, and although the facility tried to help in the beginning by the end they were annoyed and frustrated with her. One should never arrive for visits and hear any complaints, EVER. Its unacceptable of those trained and obligated to care for anyone. If you have a parent who is not easy to care for, deter from this facility. They are not capable tending to those who need a little extra care. And the sad part is, most all memory care patients will require a little extra care at some-point. I would also add the in house doctors the facility uses, should be avoided if possible. They are inconsistent, hard to contact and honestly rarely return phone calls. If you should decide using this facility, do your family member a favor and stick with the doctors who know and have a relationship with your loved one. And lastly do not go off of your first impression with facility entrance front desk staff, depending on the day they quite frankly are very rude and act like they are doing you a favor providing entrance to the elevators to get to the memory care floor, which can sometimes take 10 minutes if not longer. If I had the opportunity to do it all over again, I would not choose this facility for my mother. She deserved so much more patience and kindness before she passed.

After 2 years of being a very happy, proud resident at what was originally presented as a classic,…read morebeautiful luxury facility (used to look like a 5 star resort!), we are absolutely gobsmacked by the new "renovations". Clearly Federated did not invest in a luxury designer. They hired a budget conscience decorator or service that found the cheapest solutions. They just completely re-carpeted the entire common areas with the busiest, cheapest looking mish mosh of vomit carpeting that I have never seen the likes of in a luxury setting. Not only is it extremely disorienting and distracting to people already feeling unsteady, but none of it matches from one room to the next, no cohesiveness and zero design or style. My poor mother gets dizzy trying to walk on it, other residents have mentioned they can not roll their chairs or walkers smoothly on the extra plush textured carpeting. The common conversation amongst the residents is the incredibly tasteless design decisions made for this reno, this has upset everyone in the building! I refer to it as vomit carpet because one would not notice if someone was to actually vomit on it. It would just blend in. Assuming they wanted something that would not show dirt - they succeeded because it is so incredibly busy and distracting you would not notice anything spilled or stuck in it. Federated took all the class and luxury out of this gem and made it look like public housing. For what the resident's pay to live there, they should have invested in a classic style and not gone so cheap, modern and extreme to have mismatched patchworks of various busy carpet designs randomly placed every inch of the facility. If we had toured it today my mom would never had agreed to move there. Sinai Residences is no longer dressed to impress. Classic, stylish, and luxurious has been replaced with common, cheap and institutionalized.

As a professional caregiver who worked inside this facility accompanying a memory care resident, I…read morewant to share what families should know before placing a loved one here. This facility is expertly presented. The marketing is polished, the awards are visible, the tours are warm. What I witnessed working inside tells a different story. Staff yelled at residents, the people in their care. This was not an isolated incident. I also observed a resident being kept isolated in her room, apparently because staff did not want to manage her. When she told me she was hungry, I helped her into her wheelchair and brought her out myself. No one on staff had responded to her. On medication: I personally observed and reported improper medication administration to both the facility and to my agency. Families should ask specific, detailed questions about how medications are tracked and by whom. Here is what I think families most need to understand: the staff know when they are being watched. When families visit, the tone changes completely, the staff smiles and are exceptionally friendly. The moment they realize you are not a visitor, that you work there, that you live there, the warmth disappears. That gap between the performance and the reality is the most important thing I can tell you. At $3,600 to $6,895 a month, families deserve more than a facade. I share this not out of personal grievance, but because your loved one will be there when no one is visiting.

Artis Boca Raton is one of the best Memory Care Homes in the area, and I feel reassured and have some comfort, in knowing that my mother is in kind and competent hands. While I must stand by all I said in my earlier, fair review - which had favorable things to say about Artis Boca Raton - it is important to give an update as well. Caring for elder people with dementia is a vitally important and very difficult job. While I wish I could "see for myself" more often, I trust from what family members have told me, that my mother is safe, well cared for, and far more comfortable at Artis now. This means so much to family members, who by the cruel twist of fate cannot be there more often. My mother means the world to me, so I wished to thank Artis Boca Raton for taking such good care of her while I cannot.
