Rude staff that almost never answers the phone, terrible communication to residents as far as notice for inspections and pest sprays.
Apartment itself was a good size, but storage space/closets/cabinets are limited. Thin walls and leaky windows and doors. It doesn't help when you have inconsiderate neighbors literally on all sides that leave trash on the sidewalk, play music outside in the middle of the night, have dogs that incessantly bark, or when they cause you have to vacate...One evening I was evacuated by the police department because a neighbor that I shared a wall with became extremely intoxicated and was shooting a firearm off in the apartment. Not only that, but he smashed my car mirror with a bat, and keyed another neighbor's car that night. I spent the remaining 3 hours of my night at my mother's, instead of in the apartment I paid for, car damage wasn't even apologized for, nothing at all was offered to remedy the situation, and the cherry on top was that the neighbor was not evicted until a month later when he got into a fight with another tenant.
Last I checked, renting means the luxury of not needing to landscape. Management sent out letters saying they were going to charge residents for overgrown plants. Parking lot was dirty with broken glass and kids are all over throwing things around the cars.There are no outgoing mail receptacles.Trash always overflows into the parking areas. Dog poop everywhere. Sidewalks and parking lot are not salted or lit at night. It took over a month and multiple calls to fix maintenance requests that included my heating/cooling unit and a clogged drain that ended up smelling...not really things you should let sit if you ask me.
I've been renting for 6 years now, and this was by far the worst. read more
