The day before our trip, Kosir's called to let us know the water levels on the Peshtigo were low and offered to switch us over to the Menominee instead. I really appreciated that they called ahead and gave us options to make sure we still had a great experience. When 2 more friends decided to join us a day before, they had no problem adding them to our reservation. The whole process was super easy from start to finish. Our guide, Mike, was amazing. He had us laughing the entire trip and was constantly telling jokes, and I felt completely safe the whole time. He answered all of our random rafting questions and was really knowledgeable about the river. The Menominee was a blast, and Mike made sure we got the full experience. The rapids were a ton of fun, we got to jump in and swim in the river, and he even took us "surfing" on the rapids. They also had a professional photographer (shoutout to Michael!) taking photos throughout the trip. Looking through the pictures afterward and seeing everyone's facial expressions was honestly hilarious, and he got the photos uploaded so quickly that we were able to start sharing them almost immediately. Overall, I would definitely recommend Kosir's. Great communication, super accommodating and friendly staff, and an all-around awesome experience!

Simply the most beautiful spot in all of Wisconsin. This park has a nice campground along the…read morePeshtigo River, and the park itself has trails snaking all over. Stop in here for a breathtaking view of the Peshtigo from one of the picturesque foot bridges that criss cross the numerous islands and side channels and the entrance of Swamp Creek into the Peshtigo. The islands themselves have quaint little cabins that can be used to protect your food from the insects and the elements during a summer picnic, party, or family reunion. There are numerous grills and firepit/grills with chimneys. These things are so cool! The park looks like it should be teaming with trout because it is home to every type of prime trout habitat. Within 100 yards there are rapids, riffles, pools, runs, pocket water, sand and boulder structure, timber, and more. However, I have yet to ever see much less hook into anything. But it is nice to enjoy such a beautiful scene. There is a trail that connects this park to Goodman Park. Be careful to go left when nearing the beaver dam, as the trail skirts the damn, and it is treacherous if you are in a hurry.

With the new ownership of this campground, they appear to be going above and beyond to be sure their campground is updated. We chose this campground in 2015 and are so pleased that we did. The host is easy to work with but assures that all the campers are treated well and the owner continues to improve the campground. We love having the entire Chain O'Lakes at our disposal. The golf course is just down the road, so when we have guests they an golf also. Several of their docks are new and improved. Also, having the Tiki Bar so close offers food and a fun place to hang out if you just need something different. It was absolutely the right choice for us.

We stayed at the Peshtigo outpost, but did activities at both Peshtigo and Menominee outpost. At the Peshtigo outpost, there are camping facilities for any level of camper. Tenting to cabin with bathroom and kitchen. Let me start with the booking... they were so fantastic at setting up a great itinerary for us for our short stay! The zipline was awesome, and the views were beautiful! We did the rafting at Peshtigo in single person rafts and it could not have been more fun and picturesque! The alpine tower was tricky for me, but not for the rest of my group, they soared through it! EVERY SINGLE guide we had was so friendly and so kind! We can't wait to come back and stay longer! camped here in mid june for 3 nights…read more first off location - right off lake michigan, maybe 50 feet. its so calming to here the light waves hit the shore at nighttime. for the most part there is tree line between the sites and the lake but there are benches throughout the site where you can view the lake - really nice for the sunrise and sunsets. the sites them self were quite large compared to the sites ive been to through the years. we were able to easily park a SUV, set up our tent, have a picnic bench, and a fire pit with no problem. another large vehicle and tent would have fit the site. a majority of the sites had campers parked at them. a majority of the sites contained electrical outlets - 20 and 30 amp receptacles the amenities were outstanding. the bathroom/shower area in the middle of the site appeared to be brand new or very recently renovated. the bathrooms were cleaned daily and the showers actually had hot water and private stalls with lockable doors. the site also had a volleyball beach court, teatherball, and basketball hoop near the beach. the rangers sold wood and ice and also had gear for the sporting events that could be used. i did not see a downside to this site. the nearest town was at least a 20-30 minute drive so we felt like we were away from life aside from the occassional semi truck that would speed down the nearest county road.

Lake Michigan is beautiful! The parks is well kept up!…read more As far as the campground, itself... Most sites are just grass, and many are not even close to being level. For some reason, they let tall weeds grow 5-6 feet at the lakefront.... Sitting down, you can hear the lake, but not see it very well. Not sure why....? Bring an extra extension electrical cord. Remember, no water hookups, so fill up on your way in. Site 33, does NOT have unobstructed view of the lake, as tenters set up directly between the lake and site 33. "Great" playground for the kids.... But the screaming gets old quickly! And take extra caution, because kids were "racing" alongside our vehicle on their bikes! And so, if you are coming for some quiet time.....don't. And, they installed some "bell/chime" for the kids.... Super annoying! The swimming beach is rocky by the shore. May want some water socks. Shower and toilet facilities are nice! Summary: Beautiful, well maintained park, but if you want a quiet retreat, go elsewhere.

Chrissy in the office was very helpful and called back my voicemails quickly. There's a pool and mini golf on the grounds which are nice but far enough from sites that you can't hear them from your site. Bass Lake recreation is a short drive from here and has great swimming, beach area, boating, and fishing! Definitely recommend it here.

Very crowded place and it is right by a railroad track that gets plenty loud and noisy. They say…read morethey have rules but three dogs were left by their owners all week to roam freely and bark. Very dusty, especially since no one drives at the 5mph. Extremely low water pressure at our site and forget WIFI as it was never available at our site. The manager was just downright rude and extremely unfriendly. It is a cheap place to stay but that's about the only positive I can think of for it.

Which is why I was shocked that they would allow one of their guests to display a Huge religious banner surrounding their Lot, as well as a fairly decent sized Mannequin dressed up as Donald Trump which was placed directly in front of their camper on the main road. The mannequin wasn't as disturbing as the owners bizarre behavior towards it, which made us both extremely uneasy. It was almost as if he was worshiping it in some way.

Each time we encountered staff (from the reservation phone call to check-in to a stop in the office for ice) they were friendly. The campground itself is pretty small and seems to be new. There isn't a lot of shade or privacy here but once the trees fill in, they'll offer more cover. There is a small office onsite that opens at 8a and offers snacks, ice and firewood for purchase. There is also complimentary coffee which was nice. We were told there was a cell phone booster at the office but we had a REALLY hard time getting service, even with that. One-stall bathrooms are available and they were insanely clean (and air conditioned!). Showers are available (a $2 donation is requested) but when my husband went to use them Sunday morning they were either closed or someone was hogging them for over 20 minutes . This was before the 8a office open time so it's possible they were just closed. There is a man-made water pond with inflatables for the kids. We don't have children ourselves so we stayed pretty clear of that and the nearby playground. Yard games are offered for guests as well but we didn't use them. They have an area for "dog exercise" but it's not that big and it's very close to other campsites - not totally sure what the purpose is but it's a nice gesture. The campground was very quiet when we were there - not even half full. Between the heat and being the weekend before the 4th, I'm sure that had something to do with it. We did notice they had a handful of permanent sites here. We would definitely camp here again.
