Ramón did an excellent job installing a new furnace for a reasonable price. He was patient,…read moreanswered all my questions, and found a smaller furnace the size I requested. He was punctual, careful to clean up, efficient, and friendly. I wanted a smaller furnace because the old furnace (100,000 BTU input/70,000 output) was oversized for the square footage of the fairly well-insulated house (1,100 sf) with a 33,000 BTU load demand (or less during mild winters). Sun Rays got me the furnace I wanted and installed it efficiently and on time, just before the winter temperature headed toward zero. I am very happy with Sun Rays' workmanship and professionalism. I can highly recommend Sun Rays. Here are my calculations based upon the technical specifications of the Armstrong A802V070 Two-Stage Furnace (with an ECM variable stage blower motor and an 80% AFUE efficiency rating) 66,000 BTU/Hour input = 52,000 BTU output (66,000 x 80% = 52,000 BTU output) Two Stages: Low Fire is 67% output & High Fire is 100% output 34,000 BTU output (52,000 BTU x 67% stage 1 low-fire setting) 33,000 BTU load (30 BTU/sq ft (8 ft. ceilings) x 1,100 square ft. house) So, the house load (heat demand) of 33,000 BTU is perfectly matched to the stage one, low-fire, 34,000 BTU output. In the case of an extremely cold winter, stage 2 high-fire will provide up to 52,000 BTU output.

We had J and S do some work for us in the past and they couldn't have been better. So we decided…read morethat since they were so good before, we'd call them again. We called about getting a new central air unit and was told they were very busy and couldn't get to us til end of March. It's now April and we never even got a phone call explaining if they were still coming or just not going to show up ever. We wasted all that time waiting on J and S to come when we could have been in touch with another company. Now we have to start all over again and it's getting hot really fast. Very disappointed in J and S and bummed that they didn't even respect a customer enough to make a phone call and totally blew us off.
