Ben Apt helped me enormously with precision, professionalism, complete knowledge, and even accompanying me in court and showed Care and interest in my case. Further down the road, even though he had information they assigned me to a different paralegal I'm assuming because she brushed me off and gave me very generic answers and made me feel like she didn't want to be bothered and even made me feel like the one who was in the wrong. It was terrible. I never even wanna go there ever again. I don't even wanna live in Arlington anymore because of her I'd rather live in Fairfax County. It was a complete 180, my feeling and appreciation towards LSNV. Ben Apt is excellent. Otherwise I wouldn't count on much if you get anybody else.

However, they were able to give me general advice and answer questions that would have taken a lot of time to figure out on my own. Eventually, I had gotten through some of the earlier stages on my own and was near trial - unable to find counsel elsewhere. And, it wasn't just that I couldn't afford Counsel. Sure, that was part of it - but a lot of attorneys I spoke to elsewhere really didn't sound like they were hopeful or knew how to help. Many of the "regular" attorneys I spoke to seemed preoccupied with their fee and, I suspected, may have even been increasing their retainer because I was low income and they wanted assurance of being paid. I get it - everyone should be paid for their services - but I felt like I would be better off spending their retainer on a hotel. LSNV were the only ones who actually listened to my story and understood that I did need help. When they reviewed my case again and were able to take me on. The attorney was incredible; she was highly intelligent, well-organized, reassuring, and quick-thinking. I was a bucket of anxiety -- so much so that I could see how it would have distracted other Counsel from being effective in court. However, she was professional and did a better job than any attorney I have ever personally spoken to in the past. She was also extremely well-versed in the law related to housing. I have had consultations with a few attorneys who routinely told me that they had to get back to me or look something up - and then I never heard back. She could answer most questions right on the spot and, when she said she would get back to me, she always followed through. I'm not sure what I would have done without their help. The law was in my favor but it is doubtful I would have been able to make a strong case on my own. Her name was Rebecca Leussing.

Extremely unethical and unprofessional experience with Brian…read more I had one of the worst legal experiences of my life with Brian. I paid a $600 retainer and never received a fully executed, countersigned agreement back -- which is basic legal procedure. After that, he went completely silent. For seven months, I received no invoices, no updates, no communication, and no evidence of any legal work performed. When I finally reached out to request the refund that is required under Virginia State Bar rules, he tried to gaslight me by suggesting that I was the one who disappeared, despite the clear paper trail showing he had not responded or provided anything at all for over half a year. The combination of total non-communication, no completed agreement, and refusal to return unearned funds is blatantly unethical. Clients deserve transparency, accountability, and honesty -- none of which Brian provided. I strongly recommend avoiding him and seeking legal counsel elsewhere.

Mr. Avery not only helped me out once but twice with two different traffic tickets and a car accident. He was successful in talking to both officers and bring down the original charge. For my car accident he pursued it aggressively. Once you contact the law firm and let them know what's happened they take care of you and give you a sense of comfort and hospitality. They'll kindly ask for a limited number of documentation just to make sure Mr. Avery is fully prepared for any curve balls the judge might ask or give in the court hearing. He'll meet you at court and give you the sense of comfort, knowing everything will be alright. For the car accident; They'll make sure that you're okay first and they'll ask you to step into their office for a couple questions that pertain to the accident. They'll write down your account of the incident and take over the case from that very moment. They will contact the insurance company on your behalf and if you need any kind of injury related treatment. They will suggest several practices around town to help you feel better. You'll have updates of the case periodically, informing you of the case and in which direction it's heading. After a bit of time Mr. Avery and the insurance company will have reached an agreement that will greatly satisfy you. Mr. Avery is an extremely nice lawyer, if not the nicest one in Fairfax. If you're looking for someone to handle your case with the utmost professionalism and integrity while at the same time cares for how you're doing and still actively pursuing your case to get resolved he's the one you wanna go with.

I would recommend Michael Avery to all of my family and friends, he couldn't have made it an easier process honestly.
