He was patient and friendly with both me and the pooch, giving us both time to get used to the studio and equipment. His reflexes were fast, allowing him to catch nuances of expression and posture for me to choose from. He used his artist's eye to show me how changing the orientation and spacing of each portrait helped produce a balanced finished product.
