Silibario is a Michelin-starred restaurant in Vigo, Spain. Is it as exceptional a dining experience as the Michelin star suggests? The sort answer is 'yes'.
THE ROSES: Wonderful view of the city and port from the restaurant's elegantly austere dining room. The food truly was exceptional. We had the prix fixe lunch with paired wines. It was a very creative menu (which changes frequently to match what local ingredients are in season), and all the dishes were very well executed. The staff is very professional and courteous, with enough of the team able to converse in good English if your Spanish isn't up to snuff. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the dining experience you're receiving.
THE THORNS: None worth mentioning
THE VERDICT: Vigo is a bit off the beaten path for most tourists visiting Spain. It is most popular as a starting point for those walking the last 100km of the Portuguese Route of the Camino de Santiago. If you're in Vigo and in search of a truly memorable dining experience, Silabario is an excellent choice.
